I'm not sure its Belle Vue at all.

The same picture is on the staircase in the East Stand as you make your way up to the Legends Lounge. Its also the same photo I used when I produced the portable display unit celebrating Charlie's life a few years ago. Strangely enough I've been contacted this last week by a journalist from The Athletic who's running a story on Charlie for Black History Month, keep an eye out for that.

I don’t think it’s BV. There wasn’t a wall like that at that end. Houses wrong period too.

Leeds Rd Hudders? Total guess. Hull? Exeter? Who knows!

Excellent Silkscarf. Just finished watching ‘One Night in Turin’ & you’ve definitely just made mine.

Club vs Country.

Now that’s a thread for the close season……whatever the season/year!

In the late 1980s when I was a sales rep I went into Birdwell post office near Barnsley.
Charlie was in there chatting away to the post mistress and had his back to me but I recognised his voice.
I couldn’t miss the chance of chatting to him so spoke about the Rovers and asked him about his time playing for us.
I was there about half an hour and he had me laughing most of the time, and yes, he did call me flower.
