I'm off, I miss our rivalry with Barnsley - it always felt lively but respectful - like two brothers that don't get along but ultimately understand each other and where they came from.Plus for a time we seemed to be there bogey team - I remember a 2-0 at there place with a couple of reds for them (one for sending Copps in to row z over the hoardings) and a Dave Mulligan top corner volley at our end, plus a few good wins at BV, including a 4-0 if I remember rightly! It's not the most respected tournament but it's a good chance of a trip to Wembley which doesn't come around too often, so hoping we go for it and get a good result there.
I’m sure this is on SKY tonight
Remember going to oakwell in this competition year's ago. Think we won 5-2 with richard offiong scoring a hatrick. Missed most of the match due to seriously dense fog. I'll not be bothering this time, ever since they ruined the competition it's been a waste of time. Hopefully we get knocked out ASAP.
Tonights TeamNot what I expected ??Not sure of formation but probsLawlorBack 4 of Nixon,Anderson,Senior,Fleming2 holding mids - Close and Kelly3 in front Emmanuel,Sbarra and GibboJoe up top
Yes it was. We scored at the opposite end to us. It was so misty we didn’t realise we’d scored until the players ran back celebrating. Great night that.

Great night that. Twenty years ago this month. John Doolan put a hefty challenge in on Stephan McPhail after about ten minutes which took the influential midfielder out of the game, a challenge which went unpunished much to the disgust of the home supporters. One player from each side eventually received their marching orders, Ricky Ravenhill for Rovers.
