Yet society wouldn't let you get away with saying it about places such as Croydon, Bradford. I'll let you work out what the difference is. But one set of poverty is treated as a joke, another is treated as a serious issue that's failed people and needs addressing

You can pick your dogs shit up after it even if you don't have much money.
You can keep your garden relatively tidy without having much money.
And I've seen first hand in Bradford down the railway embankments household waste, including hundreds of nappies just thrown over the back garden walls.

These are shit holes because people treat the place they live as a shit hole.

I was brought up in balby, our house backed onto peglars.
We didn't have much money but my mum kept our back yard tidy but our neighbours  yards were disgusting. 
So yes, I lived in a shit hole because of scruffy bas**rds.

Lived in Cornwall for 30 years and some of the visitors did their utmost to make a bloody mess before they left.
Hope the buses get nice and fully booked btw.
