Glad we're on telly so everyone can watch, and hoping it might reduce ticket demand slightly so I can get for me and my lad!

GET IN!!

TV monies for a live game plus £75k for the winners. We could get nigh on £100k for a victory here! Even the losers get £20k……but we don’t want to ‘go there’!

I think we need another " at least we can concentrate on the League" thread

Only fair to defer to the ‘first poster’.

I continue to defer to the first poster regarding the FA Cup game against Kettering.

A question was raised on a second post regarding this OP with regards to TV monies. To clarify:-

The winner of the tie will receive £75k, the loser 20k from the FA.

A ‘live TV coverage fee’ of £60k from the broadcaster will be shared equally between both clubs in essence, the losers of the tie receive a minimum (not including gate receipt etc) of £50k, the winners will receive a minimum of £105k plus…..& it’s a big plus, a numbered ball (which would your preferred number be?) into the hat (we all know it’s actually a bag) for the third round of the…… ‘Football Association’s Cup’.

I love a big finish.

Sorry that is incorrect. It is £60k per club - not shared

https://www.thefa.com/news/2024/nov/07/schedule-confirmed-for-the-2024-25-emirates-fa-cup-second-round-proper

Sorry, it doesn’t state £60,000 EACH. It’s ambiguous.

I’m honestly not being pedantic here it’s that I have read (though now can’t find the link!) that the broadcast money is shared equally between the clubs.

I am sure that clubs get £60k each tv money from the bbc.
This Google search says that the sides involved receive £60k. (See picture)
If it was shared surely it would have said “the sides involved receive £30k.”

At least Sydney rover will be able to read it.

Decent money, much more for round 3, very tough ask to get there I think.

I agree it is ambiguous but looking at other sources it was £50k per club in the 1st Round in 2021. It wont have gone down £20k for the 2nd Round in 3 seasons.

It's £60k per club.
