Smart stop from Ted at the end.
Clear yellow for JM, sliding in when you are on a card you need to play the ball.

Noticed during the full match the electronic hoardings lighting up a celebration of their Division 1 team in 1974/75 and up pops a young looking Joe Laidlaw in the Carlisle colours.
Also does anyone know the story/ reason why the all seater stand that the Rovers fans were in today is several metres out of line with the pitch? Very odd?

The way I see it is that number nine is in an offside position when the first shot goes in, which TSL saved.
When the ball comes back off Ted, nine gets a touch to it then the other player cracks it into the net.
Number nine is the player who offends.

Yes. After TSL makes the save the No.9 is the first player to touch the ball before the guy running in from the left scores. He has come back from an offside position.

Regards the stand not fully inline with the pitch,I believe when they built the stand, the plan was to move the pitch to be inline with the new stand, one stage of overall plans to move the pitch to enable more development of the other sides of the stadium but the progress came to a halt for whatever reason,Not sure, but think it was during the purchase of Carlisle by Michael Knighton, famous for his failed bid to buy Man utd and then settled on Carlisle instead, convincing some he was going to bring big things to Carlisle United but it never materialised.

Edit: RoversinSpain,I found more detailed info about it here, and old article from 2016
https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/football/carlisle-united/inside-brunton-park/16760327.the-off-centre-legacy-of-carlisle-uniteds-east-stand-now-20-years-old/

P.s. Bournemouth did something similar to what was proposed at Carlisle, they turned their pitch 90° to develope Dean court with new stands.

Wolves turned their pitch through a right angle too.

We had quite a few connections with Carlisle at that time. Apart from Laidlaw there was Bobby Owen, Chris Balderstone and Bill Green. Not sure if they were all there during 74/75. I remember Bill Green scoring against Chelsea on MOTD to help Carlisle to the top of the old first division.

I was stood next to Bill Green when we beat QPR in the FA Cup. He was roaring Andy Kowalski on who he’d played with at Chesterfield.
