Somebody who's going let us know if we shoot towards the metal white stick things rather than pass

Who’s Jaiden Campbell-Ryce? Any relation to Jamal?

Is Faulkner fit? Maybe he’s not ready to start but doesn’t bode well for him if Nixon or Emmanuel are picked at centre half ahead of him.

I believe, Bobby can’t play in a game for the club until January, unless it’s a friendly like today. Hence he’s behind the others.

Faulkner played well when he came on kept a clean sheet and had a towering header that would have been the equaliser disallowed by a foul by someone else on the keeper showing again just how dangerous he is in the oppositions area.
His pace at the back when defending shored up the defence and stopped them getting behind.

Unfortunately he not available till January he would have been a good back up for all the games in December and could have put pressure on the others especially with his pace and ability to score goals.

Good to hear. He cant do any more than make an impression when he gets a chance!

It’s all about getting himself in the best possible level of fitness, ready for January ( even though he would have been handy to have around through a very busy December).

The biggest single black hole in the squad at the moment is a third option up top. The manager daren’t play either Billy or Joe because of the risk of injury to either one! First priority for January imho.

Quality in mid field will be the priority for me, someone who can control the play like Stock, Doolan, and Wellens did, can put a foot in when needed and can play a bit.
We have no real stand out player with that bit of class in the engine room, we have a number of decent hard working players and a few easy to play against pit pat lads who are looking like have been found out at last, and we are now at the point as a team that if we sign someone they need to be better than what we already have at the club, and the right character to fit in at the club and the dressing room. Kelly is more or less a must to extend to the end of the season as he is our stand out midfielder at the moment.

I would tend to agree. If one of them gets injured then we would be short on options.

I thought Max Biamou coming in last season gave us a great lift as he was a different type of Striker to Joe.

I'm not sure midfield is really the problem when we keep observing the final third is where we've struggled of late. Yes, that's not just down to the strikers but leaving ourselves potentially short up front would be a shot in the foot.

But similar enough so that he fit seamlessly in to the system and complimented the existing players around him.

Strikers cost a lot of money, and the two we have got are good players  who will get goals with the service, apart from the one on one with Billy the easy chances missed fell to other players in the game at Carlisle
Yes we might need someone next season and the market is easier in the closed season, my preference would be someone like Josh Stones etc with a future if available.
I have a feeling both Billy and Ironside will come good and are just having what all strikers have a little run when things don't click, this weekend would be a good time for them to come good.

If I recall correctly didn't we miss out on a supposedly pacey striker on deadline day. He decided to join a league one club instead so hopefully that money is still available in January.

That's true Selby, it's not a good time to be pursuing an established striker in January unless there's an iron in the fire who McCann has been tracking. Alternatively, I would think we'd be looking at loanee who's had some joy elsewhere or is highly thought of by his parent club. Yeboah certainly hasn't shown any adaptability or enough to give us the options we'd hoped. It's that bit of insurance we need up top however it happens.
