Due to piddling about at the back when no need to do.

So sloppy. Doesn’t spoil what’s been a decent performance but certainly takes some of the sheen off. Not to mention a hit to the GD.

We've switched off again - Tranmere could have had another and possibly a penalty....

Does Emanuel have written into his contract that he must do a step over every time he has possession of the ball?

Why does GM routinely sub off certain players even if they are playing well (Kelly and Fleming) and then substitute with negative players like Close and Sbarra?

FT 3-1

A result we all would have taken beforehand, but not a performance to match

Great win but made hard work of it.  We get ourselves into no end of trouble with our playing out from the back and getting caught with the ball. The less said about Gibson the better. Hurst showed him how to do lt. hope for different line up for Boxing Day.

Good to win the game and it really could have been five or six nil.
The subs changed things for the worse but I understand that GMc wanted to give players game time and possibly rest up some with the four up and coming games being really important to us.
At 3-0 with twenty minutes to go I was hoping for a couple more to boost the goal difference but the absolute give away goal for Tranmere left me me feeling quite angry and I left the stadium in a not particularly happy frame of mind.
Still, a win is a win and keeps us in the race for auto promotion so perhaps I’m being a bit harsh.

I think that makes two of us perceptive enough to recognise questionable judgement. The result is pleasing, but if we are to sustain a promotion challenge we need to play better than this.

I wouldn't necessarily say we have to "play" better. We definitely need to finish better. We could and should have scored at least 6 today with the not too difficult chances we missed.

I think we are already sustaining a promotion challenge, being in the auto promotion slots after 21 games..??

“Sustain” means keeping up the challenge, so it’s the future I’m talking about.
