A fast striker, a forward looking midfielder and one to back up the front man, some of our players are going to have to accept splinters in the bum from these three.

We could get the odd Donny White fan coming to check him over when he’s at home

Their fans expected him to go to a high end L1 team, some suggesting a low Championship team even. Never seen him play so can't comment, also it's a big step up mens football, must have talent though with a full Wales Cap & also being selected for the U21s at 16

Recycle Tommy Rowe’s song ?

With oooh oooh (to rhyme with Crew) instead of ohhh ohhhh (which rhymes with Rowe).

Happy with this! Apparently very highly regarded young footballer who adds something else different along with Rob Street & Ethan Ennis :boxing:

Sounds like a great prospect but will he be enough to help get us promoted? I know Craig did exceptionally well last season but will it happen again? In my opinion we need someone who has experience at this level and maybe the level above. Look at the signing MK Don's have just made - one of Notts better players, now that is a statement of intent!
Like I say CC Sounds superb so here's hoping I'm proved wrong.

He certainly knows how to use the standard "yes no" response that most footballers use now in interviews!!

Because Notts wouldn’t pay the wages he wanted there was no way we would sign players like that. Experience is a good thing and we may suffer for not doing that but Close Westbrooke Clifton are all experienced at this level and above and they’ve not pulled any trees up. The best midfield player we have again was inexperienced but has  shown he can play at this level consistently in Owen Bailey . The best striker in league 2 was inexperienced but he’s shown what he can do for Walsall So we will have to wait and see what happens

this horrific use of the English language seems to have crept in from nowhere in all walks of life of late. Ye no doesn’t even make any sense.

Glad it's not just me !  My current favourite is when I hear  " Can I get ..........." instead of "Could I have............"  Not bloody hard is it.

Americanisms.

"I could care less" is the worst, in my opinion.

Then we have the homegrown of instead of have, which annoys me no end.

No, it will take all our players to perform more consistently at the level we know they can.

Yes, it's possible for one particular player to have a positive influence on the rest but, we need our 'better' players to deliver.

TSL. Getting better plus the game at Hull will have done his confidence a world of good.

Maxwell. Below par. Yes just back from injury, looking a bit rusty but signs he's heading in the right direction.

Sterry. On par. Has been getting better defensively and contributes to our attacking strategy. Just needs to avoid the odd lapse.

Olowu. Above par. Been Mr Consistent this season.

McGrath. On Par. Shown great potential and desire but has the odd sloppy moments maybe trying too hard at times.

Bailey. Below par. Yet to reach the heights and consistency of last season but has been better of late. We need his leadership by example.

Broadbent. Just below par with a couple of bad mistakes spoiling his good stuff. Still concerns about his mobility when the games get stretched.

Moly. On par. Would be harsh to say otherwise even taking into account his recent dip but so much is expected of him so he tends to get spotlighted. We know he will be a talisman and could double his goal tally.

Gibson. Below par. Just too inconsistent and we'll see how he responds with the added competition. Too few goals, too few assists.

Billy. On par. But another who could profit if those behind him get into first gear. Needs better support in and around the box.

Ironside. Well below par. Just been a shadow of the influence of last season. Not all down to him but he doesn't seem as hungry or determined as last season. He could become a bench warmer if he doesn't get on the end of things more often.

That leaves a number of peripheral players who haven't commanded a regular enough starting berth but need to show they want it when called upon. Together with the new energy from the young talent just signed, if all of the above perform and cut out the silly mistakes, we will get that promotion. It's that extra 10% we need no matter who we play.

Arses who end the expression of their opinion by saying or writing "to be fair ", oh you decide if its fair or not?
Then there's the way football people
refer to the Liverpool's, the Arsenal's, the Chelsea's, there's only one of them.

Not to mention apostrophes misplaced in plurals.!!!
