Thought he was really good today - his standout moment was when he was tackled in their 6 yard box and ran back must’ve been 60 yards to get his retaliatory challenge in & he came out with the ball. He was a little box of tricks and my joint man of the match alongside Charlie Crew who had a really impressive home debut.

Well said. The vicious criticism of this  excellent young lad by some of our fans is horrible.

Personally I don't criticise but I'm not sure he does alot on the ball for us. He runs around alot meaning we see him alot, but major contributions I'm not sure.

He isn't a LM put it that way but he does put a shift in.

Not knocking just saying.

Where’s the vicious criticism been? At the ground?

Covers acres of ground, harries where he can. He admitted himself that he thought the Hull game was his ‘make or break’.

He knows he’s been brought in to break up play (get a foot in & win the ball) & provide goal assists. His words not mine.

For me he’s shown very little in either of those departments. His ‘assist’ for Moly’s goal against Gillingham even, it took a deflection.

Not for me.

My second choice for Man Of The Match also, after TSL.

I thought he did well today and as the previous poster said, the way he ran back to reclaim the ball he’d lost was brilliant.

He deserves a place in the squad and I’m sure there is more to come from him.

He got 40 goals in 4 seasons at Solihull and his best contribution / attribute to this team is that he tackles and harries? Surely there's more?

Not for me. Just not good enough. Clifton every time as far as I’m concerned. There were a few ahead of him for motm imho.
Awful game, great results.

Got a five from DFP... along with Sharp

Slightly harsh on him I would say, particularly with Ironside being rated a 7. 6 each for me.

Cliftons cameo  was excellent and I'm sure we'd like to see Ironside and Billy get into those positions to receive, swivell and shoot more often.

Don't know what the stats say but I think he's done alright. Picks up some good positions and has decent quality on the ball. We've lacked players who look to play incisive (if risky) passes and he's someone who looks to do that as far as I can see. What he needs is more runs in-behind from other players.

That's fair comment as he has to play more risky passes in that further advanced position, rather than Crew and Broadbent who need a higher completion rate from the anchor role.
