What a player this lad looked. Surely should be above this level by now.....wouldn't say no to him next year when we go up!!!

Looks a class above doesn’t he? My question would be why does he keep moving around League Two though? Why hasn’t a top end League One club had a look at him?

We had him on trial in the summer of 2021. Wellens didn't want him or couldn't afford him.

I remember Wellens saying we couldn’t offer him a contract.
Which made it strange he was on trial in the first place.

Proper player. Wonder how much MK are paying him after poaching him from Notts County. Must be plenty.

Yep. Agree with all here. Best player I’ve seen at our place for quite some time. Everton apart. We just couldn’t tackle him. He turned on a sixpence. And his passing was sublime. Is this what we were hoping Sbarra was going to be? If so, they’re worlds apart. Cheeky bid in summer if we go up wouldn’t go amiss.

Didn't wellens put all his eggs in a Ben close basket?

It seems he may have played under Grant previously at Hull?

He won’t be coming here. We wouldn’t be able to match what MK pay him now even if we went up. People have said we’ve thrown money at it this season. Certainly not in comparison to the likes of MK. They were supposed to be right up there. That was a great win today.

Their last published accounts reflect season 2022/23 in League One, and their wage bill was £5.7m. All things being equal them coming down to League Two would probably bring their wage bill in the broad range of ours. The unknown is whether the Al Ghanim consortium that took control in the summer has dramatically expanded the wage bill. If they have bought Crowley from a rival in the January window suggests they are now not short of a few quid.

He was an absolute nuisance. Twisted this way that way, totally wasted in Lge 2.
Best player on the pitch.

On the flip side of this thread, our midfield today looked the best it has all season. The turn on the edge of our box and run from PK early doors was sublime.

No dissing , but Wellens and pinch of salt spring to mind.

Why has he had 13 clubs in 11 years ? I asked my Notts County supporting mate this after todays match, he replied that he falls out with everyone and he said he has terrible attitude and falls out with players, staff and management. 13 clubs in 11 years

The best midfielder today had number 27 on the back of his red and white shirt, he going to be some player in a couple of years time.

I think they did a decent job stopping Crew. Did some good defensive work but didn’t really affect the game on the ball.

Not sure what you were watching, he ran that midfield, him and Kelly were superb

Just had a look at the stats and it kind of confirms what I thought. 8 accurate passes in his 77mins. Thought Bailey and Kelly were better than him today.

It must be quite sad when you have to check them to confirm whether or not you enjoyed the game.

You must be quite sad to comment on someone looking at things they have an interest in. I get paid to look at these things for what it’s worth. I would really appreciate it if you refrained from commenting on anything I post. Feels like a weird obsession.

8 passes in 77 minutes, is that passes over a certain distance, because if not I find it very surprising to say the least

I agree with this 100% just from being at the game.

Kelly was the pick of the three, Bailey did some dirty work and is getting better again now. Clark did a few bits but was a quiet game for him. Clearly guna be a top player though.

That said I was concerned when we took him and Kelly off at the same time.

Crew's major problem is he's very one footed. He was caught out several times trying to get it on his right foot.

Disagree.

He played several balls with his left which found their intended target.

He can’t have done that because someone on here said he only made 8 passes in 77 minutes
