Squad depth

I really think rovers having a big squad is now starting to pay dividends and will be a big part in us winning this league

Caveat being we have played three very average sides but surely the major reason is he has started playing players consistently in their best position and playing to their strengths? It’s great to have a large squad but that’s led to him messing around with the side too much. We’ve got something that while not always spectacular is effective and a relatively settled XI. Long may it continue.

Certainly helping. In football you are only as good as your worst couple of players. Other teams are often a couple of injuries / suspensions in a particular couple of positions away from playing absolute mugs. Baring a real disaster we will never have that. Couple that with the fact we can share the minutes out with a bit more confidence. It certainly has a positive affect.

Since the Walsall game he’s stopped tinkering with the shape and we look better for it.

Settled back 4, street Gibson moly front 3 needs to stick. Midfield looks like Bailey Broadbent and Clifton. I've no issue in rotating Clifton and Sbarra. Our weakest position

Agree except for Gibson, missed another couple of sitters today, and still lacking in work rate, compared with moly’s theirs no comparison.

You're taking the piss surely regarding his work rate today? He was very good with and without the ball today

His movement in the box is really under rated. No surprise he gets the opportunity to shoot so often. Missed good chances today but the fact he gets the chances to miss underlines how good he is.

Gibson was good today, his workrate and body language is improving all the time

To be fair I thought Jordan was better today helping out defensively than of late.

Gibbo was superb today.
Yes, he missed one that I thought he should have scored after the ball in from the right but was unlucky with the one which hit the post and that one wasn’t a sitter as someone suggested.
He does need a goal but his confidence levels seem to be rising every week.

He got a big hug from everyone in the dug out when he was subbed late on.

I think he’s starting to up his work rate & has realised that is what Grant demands of his wide men.

He’ll be in the starting XI every game if he keeps those standards up.

Just needs to be a little calmer when a ‘goal opportunity’ presents itself.

Knowing that he won't get hauled off for hursty to take his place will give him a lift as well.  Grant has as much told him he's a first choice winger now, Ennis is back to the bench..  he can relax and enjoy his football...

He's miles better than Ennis. Apart from Street and GK. Nobody has come in and become better than what we had in our 11 last year.

Olowu wasn’t first choice last year remember. He’s been an upgrade on Wood.

Good point. Yes massive upgrade. I've always thought he was our best CB. McGrath has done well too this year and upped his game v what came through the door

2nd place on most places for  lowest expected goals against, the back 4 and midfield are definitely doing their jobs and keeping the chances down.
