Only outfield player not to get on tonight?
Thought he came with very high expectations. Worried that this loan his gonna be a disaster for him regarding game time.

Even Ennis has had more and he has been poor everytime he steps onto the pitch, no better than yeboah

Why are you worried for him?

Our only concern should be Rovers going up, what happens with the loans to get us there will be next weeks chip paper.

Worried about the fact that we clearly needed a midfielder to come in during the transfer window and we bring in 1 that quickly drops out of the picture.

But you said it would be a disaster for him, not a disaster for us?

For me Broadbent has been best player in last 3 to 4 games. Stepped up and is keeping Crew out. Which is better for us.

Crew is a miles better option than Clifton.

Different player to Clifton though, you can’t really
Play Crew and Broadbent they’d just be in each others way doing exactly the same things

I did make this point on Saturday, 90% of us probably all thought we needed a centre midfielder.
Now Crew can’t get a game.
Things may change but it’s not currently looking like there’s change signing we needed.

I think Broadbent has stepped up massively, can’t just play Crew for the sake of it. Broadbent is better than him at the min

Yep agree, Broadbent is doing the job so he keeps the shirt for me.

Clearly McCann is trying to fix inconsistency by selection but the loans are young inexperienced and surely  confidence in them is purely based on impact off the bench .

I'd love to see more of Crew, but if his arrival has caused other players to step up their game then you can argue that for us it's a successful loan, even if it isn't necessarily great for Crew.

I thought Crew would have come on for Broadbent midway through the 2nd half. We needed someone capable of playing that killer pass

We needed someone capable of playing that killer pass

We had 33 shots, I don't think thats the problem.

33 shots but most if not all were attempts to shoot through a packed penalty box, no surprise what the result was.  Most of our success comes when we do manage that defence splitting pass.  I don't remember seeing a single example last night.

We were very unlucky obviously but I just think we were very rash in a lot of stuff we were doing. A calmer more calculated approach which I think Crew would have gave us would have been more effective but it's easy to criticize now.

tbf, when nearly their whole 11 are camped in the penalty area the whole game it gets more difficult to play a killer pass

Has Crew demonstrated he’s better at that than Broadbent? I don’t think he has

Crew is better at running forward with the ball and more likely to create something but I think Broadbent is better defensively and better at winning the ball back.

To be fair i think at that point Broadbent and Bailey were playing CDM and everyone else was up front. I've never seen anything like it, was like my lads junior football of a weekend.

Broadbent has in my opinion been good all season apart from the last few games when he has been excellent

Rather play Broadbent than a kid who’s only here for 6 months. Wish we wouldn’t bother with loans of players who’ve never had 1st team experience no surprise Street has looked the best loan, other than keeper.

Some pay off some don't. The latter more often than not in terms of never played first team football before.

He is t impressing McCann and that’s what’s important.

Will be interesting to gets Grant’s comments, Charlie starts were very promising and looked like he would be nailed on for starting eleven.

I'm much happier now we have a settled midfield made up of our own players, it avoids having the heart ripped out of it pre season when loanees go back to parent clubs. It's taken us a long while to get over losing Matty Craig.
