Will Flint won the award in Darlington's game v Radcliffe playing as a defensive mid fielder in front of an injury hit defence to start with, but one that lost two central defenders due to injury in this game.
With a squad stretched to the limits he gave a great display of possession football winning tackles being in the thick of things when under pressure and showing a mature and controlled side to his game normally expected of much more experienced players and protected his keeper and back line and rightfully won the MOM award once again.
Bobby Faulkner also won the match sponsors MOM award in the game against his old loan side Spennymoor, a good side, very physical, and make things uncomfortable for any side they play against. In Taylor they have a big strong attacker who is a twenty goals a season lad at this level and is not adverse to dishing it out Physically in Games and was met more than half way in that respect by Faulkner who won the battle, giving little away and showing there was more to his game with a couple of runs forward, switching play, and looking assured on the ball, and as ever winning his ariel battles especially in the defensive penalty area winning crosses and set pieces, Another one who is attracting a clutch of League and National League scouts to games.

Former player Graeme Lee is the manager of Spennymoor, I can still visualise his headed goal at the Millennium stadium.

He has done a great job at Spennymoor who are a part time team with quite a few full time sides including Scunthorpe and Buxton in their division so do well to compete.
They have also had a good run to the semi final stage of the non league competition and are a team to be respected and have a great following of supporters.
I find watching games at this level refreshing in lots of ways, the commitment of the supporters and teams and the relaxed atmosphere and no segregation of supporters, and the food on offer at reasonable prices and great portions and chips and gravy to die for seem to be back to another age.
