Olowu and Maxwell would be ideal.

Deffo need Joe back, his pace alone just keeps things tidy at the back, he’s a class operator, I just hope we go up and he decides to stay.

If any of the back four need an extra few days recovery I’d suggest the Carlisle game is it. Not taking Carlisle for granted but on paper the easier of the upcoming games for sure. Play the back four we’ve played in the last 2 games for me. All good enough, don’t want our first choice guys out for the season with a re occurrence

Don’t agree with this. We absolutely can’t afford to slip up in this one. If they are fit, they play

At this stage of the season you play your best starting IX for every game.

We’re not mid-table here.

I've just listened to Woody's interview and he sounds like he's champing at the bit.

My guess is that either Olowu or McGrath aren't fully fit and Woody will play.

As said above, we play our best X1 in every game now.

Obviously we need to win this preferably by a 2 goal+ margin. Then all we will need for a perfect weekend is for Crewe to beat Port Vale and Accrington to beat Bradford in the early-start games on Saturday. Walsall and Wimbledon will need to draw and also a draw between Grimsby and Colchester in this evening's game.

We’ve been off colour with 11 recently, I think we’d really struggle playing with 4!

Our best team over the last twelve months included Anderson and Wood in central defence. This season Olowu has been our stand out player, but the defence as a whole has been relatively poor for a side  that has aspirations of automatic promotion, with the defensive prowess of the other defenders having made  it relatively easy for him to shine as apart from Sterry him being the only one with pace to cover others mistakes.
Although not quick themselves Anderson and Wood are less likely to make those mistakes and are more experienced and positionally aware when defending the penalty area.

I'd just to see us with a settled side for these 9 that's left, pick the team  stick with it barring injuries, just think this chopping & changing has held us back at times.

Olowu played in half of the 10 in a row games btw.

Agree with some of those comments above. They are hardly going to wheel Wood out to do the pre-match media if he’s not playing.

At Chesterfield and the games since he played in he has been poor probably carrying an injury that might still be giving him some trouble it was up to last week and is he fit 100% for this game? and if he is fit he is not as good as defender in our box IMHO as Wood picking up and getting tight to players, just look at past highlights and see who is in picture as we concede goals the most regular.
As a team we have been inconsistent in games even in individual games we have won we have had periods when we have been completely off it our best game where we were on it all the game bizarrely at Bradford, and our left side of defence has been the main target of most teams all season because of lack of tackling ability and to some extent pace and space awareness, where we can be run at and past and players are not picked up inside in the area. couple that with a midfield that has the same defensive deficiencies is the biggest reason why we are where we are, solve that and we have a better chance of getting up automatically, then we will have to look seriously at next season and where we need strengthening.
As for this game I would like us to try and find a way for Kelly and Crew to be let loose, and just let them play and want them to dominate, they do have the ability, they need to come to the party and show their quality.

Carlisle have sold their initial allocation of 783

With a good away following, it seems unlikely that they will “park the bus” and their stats, possession, foul count, shots on goal etc., seem to suggest that they are fairly enterprising, so perhaps it will be an open game.

You might be right but it's happened a couple of times when the pre match interviewee hasn't made the starting XI.

Olowu one of the first names on the team sheet. If he's fit, he plays.

Every game now is huge but the next two are massive. Two sides at home and despite our fairly uninspiring home form, playing the second bottom side and a dramatically out of form Walsall, we could have far tougher tests. Get these two won and some real sense of momentum while everyone around us is spluttering. Would strike a massive psychological blow at the start of this run in to the end of season. Hope we properly tear into them during the first 15 minutes.

We will also play knowing the outcome of two huge 1230 games today. Accrington v Bradford and Crewe v Port Vale.

Agree with all that CBcb we can put a hell of a lot of pressure on other teams around us if we find consistent home form, and we need to get rid of getting teams back on track against Walsall that is a big game.
Move DRFC I am nothing else but a cynical old goat, but if you were Olowu, or even more to the point his agent and know he has a good move lined up at the end of his contract with no transfer fee, with money that would have gone to the club swilling around that they could get a part of as a signing on fee and agents fees, would you play a lot of games and risk serious injury for the sake of a few weeks to the end of the season?
All guess work by the way, Just a cynical old git of modern players and the system, which is all about money, with clubs using players like cattle, and players in the game for what they can get while the goings good, with most agents just skimming off what they can get for as little effort as possible, and most supporters just seeing the perceived glamor.

After last night Carlisle have to win so will probably have to come out all guns blazing which should suit us as we are far better on the counter than we are trying to break teams down
