Last rovers game was 24/10/23 at home to Salford, which we lost 0-3
5 voted in rate the ref scoring
3 - 1
2 - 1
1 - 2
O - 1
lets just hope he’s improved, although doubtful considering he’s done 11 games this season!

Looking at the comments on Twitter, the Bradford fans are saying he’s an awful ref.

I know it’s stating the obvious, but we have to win on Saturday. It’s a brutal run of games for us, playing Saturday, Tuesday, Friday and Monday. 4 games in 9 days is tough at any level. I know we were missing a few when we were meant to play Salford originally, but it’s created a real tough week at the business end. Fingers crossed we have enough in the squad to cope.

We know players become susceptible to injury when they are overloaded and a game every 2 days is extremely punishing

We could have done with a strong ref….unfortunately we haven’t got one so it’s a green light for Wimbledons bullying tactics, thankfully we are a lot stronger now to stand up to them (especially having overcome Cheltenham last game)

Apologies if the link doesn't work but the social media I'm looking at plus the prematch interviews, there's definitely a game on!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

All regular match goers will know about this fixture, and it’s importance, and also how to get tickets.

Anyone else with a passing interest in the football and who has access to the internet, can find out everything they need to know in a couple of minutes.

The fixture list and the league table is enough to generate interest.

However if there was a special promotion for ticket offers, then yes, market the hell out of it.

The ref is Neil Hair
Season 24/25 he’s only referred 11 games, with 51 yellow and 2 reds
L1 - 3 games
L2 - 4
Nat L -2
FLT - 1
L Cup - 1
Let's hope if there's a big penalty call for the Rovers he takes time to mullet over.

Tickets are selling well anyway judging by the online info. Looks a bigger crowd than the Carlisle game already with a day and bit of sales to go still

That's complete rubbish, got any data to back that up ?

It's about creating a buzz, and drumming up interest not just for any floating fan, but for the ones with tickets aswell.

The clubs been terrible at this ever since JR left

Why does virtually every other club post about ticket sales on social media then? Are Rovers the one club that is so far ahead of the curve on this?

I follow every EFL club and Premier league club on twitter. Very few of them act in the way you describe. If it had value, they all would. Sample size of 92 in my dataset thanks.

Then how the hell have we filled our ground since he left.. Plus, he has chipped in in recent times promoting tickets, even giving them away.

We need to survive on genuine supporters and shouldn’t be throwing gimmicks away left right and centre. If we are to succeed, we need those occasional supporters to come more often for the 'routine' bread and butter games.

We are the best marketing tools. Instead of asking what has the club done. Ask yourself what you have done to spread the word.

I do think a 3 for £50 or something offer would've worked well though (no idea what a fill price ticket is but that feels cheap).  Club should be pushing these two home games, I'm hoping we'll be up before Bradford (let's be honest it's never that easy).

The most successful ticket sales drive in recent history was my Donnybob challenge. Quite simple. Bring one friend with you. Simple as that. An 8000 crowd creates a demand for 16,000 tickets if everyone succeeds. It was tried once and the ground was effectively sold out. I expected the club to take this on board and develop the concept. Everyone thought it was a brilliant idea yet nothing happened. How difficult has it got to be? Keep it simple. No excuses. Just do it. But as ever, it's raised at the last minute. Too late.
Everyone cites Bradford City as the shining example of cheap/ free tickets to boost crowds but City is not comparable to any other League Two side. Bradford is a former Premier League club. It is a massive city. Huge. It's a one club city, possibly second only to Newcastle and Sunderland in size. 20,000 attendance is not exactly massive in those terms.
You could make tickets free at Sutton or Harrogate and they would struggle to sell out. One size doesn't fit all. We are somewhere in between, like a lot of clubs, and need to find our own solution. It is there, staring at you, in your own hands. Don't spend time looking for someone to blame, falling out like spoilt children, just get on with it.

How rich do you think the Rovers are??

Having employees spending their time doing what you suggest would be absolutely stupid. Activities around ticketing that don't produce revenue? Whatever next....

What about Leeds?
Third biggest city in England. Yes, a great example of a big city club that didn't consider 20k gates as being especially unusual. However, the point is, filling Rovers ground.

A club sustained by cheating and malfeasance at every level. Morally and ethically bankrupt. Truly the very worst that the English game has to offer.

Win games, win promotions, get to a stage in cup games where you play Premiership Clubs & the fans will come Donnybob.

It’s as simple as that.

Looks like we'll be wearing a bit of a retro look on Saturday. Quite like it.

What a ridiculous decision to switch to that god awful 80s Cusack-era Rotherhamesque shirt for this important game. This isn't an exhibition match. It's a vital 6 pointer against a potential auto-places promotion rival.  Routine should have been the watch word.

A very large 3 points up for grabs tomorrow. Good weather and a great stadium to watch cheap professional football with a promotion tantalisingly within reach. Hopefully the ticket office likely to be very busy in the morning.

I really agree with this. Don’t feel it’s the best decision the club has ever made

As you know Rob said the same about it giving me Dave Cusack nightmares.
I started going infrequently back then, thre wasn't much fun until Bremner came back a couple of seasons after Cusack.
