Just my opinion but I wouldn't mess around with the CB pairing of Anderson and Bailey even if McGrath is available again. My concern is McGrath is more likely to be intimidated into a battle whereas Bailey can continue to read the game with a cool head. He seems to communicate well from there keeping the back line on its toes. By all means have McGrath on the bench but more of the same disciplined performance and keep the ball off Bradford and frustrate them. We can all recall how Crewe messed our game up in last seasons play off semi when we couldn't get a grip after being knocked back quite early. Probably having a two goal lead worked against us. They will obvs try to shut down Moly but if we're brave enough to play through the middle, as we also did v Colchester, we will open them up. Crew if he continues in the same vein could be in for a great game. Cool heads, big hearts required.
Bloody hell, it’s only Tuesday and I’m at Rovcon 3 already! Like others have said, it would be a shame if we messed with the back 4, but I would think it’s inevitable because of Jack’s injury. Nothing against Maxwell but I think Jack has the edge when having to defend. Anderson and Bailey were awesome and far too good to be messed with. Looking at the Chesterfield highlights, Bradford like to turn the ball over then bomb forward and get an overload. We’ve got to watch for that - Crew and Broadbent keeping a close eye on those situations.Meanwhile, I wish we could utilise Street’s pace a bit more down the middle, especially early in the game. The number of times he was making the runs yesterday, but we somehow hesitated and he had to get back onside. We seem able to get through to Gibbo or Mols but that Crew pass to Street (at Tranmere) was an absolute killer ball. There’s one thing, if Street tires in the second half, like yesterday, we’ve Billy waiting to come on and repay us for his head wobble v Wombles.
I’ve just watched a young Bantams you tuber who surprised me with this stat; he said he feels that Bradford don’t deserve promotion as they’ve only won 5 away games all season. Can anyone remind me how many we’ve won?

They have by far the best home record in League Two. Only lost twice this season. Us and....Tranmere.

Thank you DBR! Some memories there...The legend that was Carl Swan. Two of my favourite players: Ian and Stevie Lister. The man himself - Billy Bremner. Pat Lally, Hugh Dowd, Daral Pugh. All memorable players and characters. That was the season Ian Nimmo topped it all off with a cracking headed goal against Bournemouth, at BV, in the last game of the season. Damn good game that was. Bournemouth were no mugs. In fact they went up the next season. BobG
Do we want Bradford to come up with us?Would be another Yorkshire team in L1, but I do think it would be kind of funny if Walsall overtook them again.

I live there so it is more like a home game for me rather than a 90 mile or so round trip to Donny. Plus my favourite pub for a pre and after match pint wouldn’t be an option if they stay down.
There are no Wrexham or Stockport in this league this season and there are three distinct levels of teams, all tight as regards points won the top seven or so who have been up there most of the year, a middle band like Salford who get the odd good result run but have not really been in trouble or threatened the top few teams all season, and the bottom five or six who have been struggling right from the off and is sorted mainly by the money the teams have available to spend on players. With the money available to them for players, If Bradford or Port Vale don't win the league they have been managed poorly and out thought and played by Grant and our management team.
