Throw ins can be considered a set piece in the way Halliday does it, can be as accurate as a corner or free kick, the way we use them it just costs us a player being on the pitch by having to take the throw in.

Hound, it was your assertion that Bradford didn't score from a set-piece but now you say you don't know.

Not really, I replied to your question and then asked if you know whether a throw in is classed as a set piece.
So are you saying that you don’t know either.
Or are you just wanting an argument.

Sorry about that last line pies, I had had a bit of bad news just before I posted and wasn’t in a great mood.
FWIIW, I googled about whether a throw in can be considered to be a set piece and some responses said that it can be.
Perhaps I should have said that we hadn’t conceded from free kicks and corners!

No worries, Hound.

I think back to Delap at Stoke with his long throw successes. Teams often deliberately conceded corners rather than give Stoke a throw in the final third of the pitch.

Many years ago I played with someone who’s long throw was as good as a corner.
The ball came in at head height with lots of pace.
