My MoM today, how he has stepped up since Olowu got injured. His head was a magnet for the ball the effort he has put in, immense.

Just about to post this, BST always talks of needing “mesters” That was a “mesters” performance, maybe the last we see of him in red and white at the stadium too, isn’t he out of contract?

He is out of contract. I’ve seen it suggested that we could get better value elsewhere. I’ll leave those judgements for others but I think he’s been good value to us over many years. Other than the odd blip he’s been very consistent and he’s a very good defender. I’d be happy if he stayed.

The only contracted centre back next season is McGrath.

Did well today. Was helped by the pressing high which forced Bradford to keep punting it to their 5’8 forward.

For me in that situation we try to keep Tom, he has never let us down, and always stands tall on the big occasions.I would be worried with potentially 3 new CB’s coming in, it just takes time to gel.

Tom has earned a new contract.
Always gives it 100% and even got the assist today for the first goal.

Has to be given another year's deal. Would be an important squad player next season. He has been superb in the last month!

I’d say the odd blip was a sustained period of poor form but he’s come through that now and has done a really good job since McCann’s come in. Worth keeping as a squad player unless we can get better on the wages.

Wood will almost certainly depart. Think we’d all love Olowu to sign a new deal and hopefully promotion helps to persuade him to stay. If he does then we’d have Olowu, McGrath and increasingly Bailey as very competent centre halves (there’s a debate to be had on his best position). We’d need more depth than that and Anderson is reliable. A few of the young lads can offer back up too.

Goalkeeper and central midfield (extra quality) will require some investment.

A lot of difficult decisions coming because we are going to be playing in a far, far tougher league next season. It’s no good trying to put out players who performed well in League Two. It is a big leap, especially as League Two this season has been both weak and laughable at times. Let’s celebrate now but we will have to knuckle down very hard over the summer to put together a squad capable of surviving next season.

An absolute pleasure to shake the big man by the hand, in the Sal. My God, it’s some atmosphere in there. Thank God I left when I did!

Tremendous.

Most of the players were in there enjoying themselves - absolutely electric.

I was in the Sal for a couple of hours after the Crewe game last year, I imagine the atmosphere couldn’t be any more different!

Legend. End of. He might leave but if he does he leaves a player that’s rarely ever let us down, and has taken his fair share of knocks (literally and figuratively) for the cause. Bloke deserves a drink or 8 tonight.

They are all out in town tonight. Full club training kit. Almost all squad.

Magnificent today. Won every header. My MoM too.

Magnificent since the injuries to McGrath/Olowu.

Played a massive part in Rovers end of season success.

The worry now is the quality of the league above, two cast offs have turned out to be better than most of this leagues talent, and they couldn’t get a game for Lincoln!
It’s like the gulf between the Championship and league one now, league one and two were always very close, not so anymore.

Whilst one of last season's promoted teams has come straight back down - another has just been promoted again and the third has just missed out on automatic promotion and is in the play-offs.

Of last season's relegated teams only Port Vale have been challenging for promotion. Cheltenham and Fleetwood have been average and Carlisle have gone out the league entirely.

Not sure how all that equates to a gulf between League One and Two?

When he wasn't in the team in a conversation with a player he said he is a very good player Brian probably the best and a great lad.

Tom's the only survivor from MCanns first spell so obviously he's been through alot of pain and despair with us, sometimes being personally victimised with abuse.

As he said himself, he's bounced back everytime and shut everyone up. If anyone deserves to celebrate like no other it's Tom. You could see what it meant to him when he eventually got off the pitch yesterday before passing down the tunnel, and in the celebrations in Town.

His presence in the back four in the run with his 'Thou shall not pass' attitude was a major factor in winning promotion.

Why would we not want this star man at our club?

I'd rather put Tom's wages to signing Olowu, Tom's been a massive stalwart since he signed but the last couple of seasons he's been in and out and you can see that time is catching up with him. Games like yesterday where teams just lump it into the box is bread and butter but next season when we will face strikers with more pace then I'm afraid he would be a liability back there. Put Tom's wages towards signing Joe Olowu
