CLH,  a lot of players in that team who had us heading for the National League at that time who we are hoping to take league one by storm next year.
If you had showed me that on leaving the ground that day with mostly the same players we would be going there tomorrow with most of them to win the title I would have certified you as mad.

Here is the pre-match thread for that game at Mansfield   the pre-match doom and depression and the "polar opposite " post match posts even a Mansfield fan coming on the thread and saying we should have beat his team.

SOMEONE SAID POST MATCH WE WOULD MAKE THE TOP TEN - there are 5 pages to the thread but it is worth a read

Playing well but lost a little control second half  but we need to keep a clean sheet, the back four have been immense along with Street who has given everything.
Have we seen the last of him in a Rovers shirt?

Lovely feeling beating Darren Moore to the title, he has no interest at all in the clubs he manages, just himself.

Another great performance when it matters. Shame we lost the clean sheet bonus again but at least it was late enough that there wasn’t any nervousness!

Isn't it so satisfying that we won the game AND, won the league with a 4 point margin? That's nuts but today, we looked every inch Champions.

I thought we played some of our best football of the season in the first half with the back four outstanding and looking potent every time we attacked.
They came onto us more in the second half but generally we held them comfortably and on the counter should have gone 3-0 up which would have killed it. Every player we had on the field of play turned up today and gave a performance, it's a well earned well done from me, and well done all the staff for their achievements this season including the two decent cup runs.

Thanks to all those who read the threads all season especially Steve who woke me up to the fact that last season had started, especially everyone who contributed their thoughts.
And thanks to the players staff and board for making it such a memorable season, and a mention to Port Vale and Bradford City thanks for blowing up just at the right time of the season.
         Up the Rovers.

Thought provoking, interesting and kept me up to date on my Rovers schedule. Thanks as always Selby, look forward to ‘Let’s talk about…’ back in League One.

Just got home and want to say what a fantastic day out it has been.
So many friends at the game to share it with including a lad I went to school with and hadn’t seen for about 50 years.
Great to beat yet another top ten side and put to bed the assumption that we couldn’t do it.
Great to win the league and be there to see Terry bring the trophy out from the tunnel to the presentation stand.
Another “I was there when….” match and had a special bond for ever with the three lads I traveled there and back with.
Our club keeps on giving these experiences and I love it.
Thank you Donny Rovers.

Well put hound, totally agree.

I was on my own today but had a fantastic day. I always enjoy feeling part of the Donny family at away games even though I left the town 50 years ago.

What a special day, a special memory. I’m absolutely chuffed to bits!

Take a bow Jamie Sterry.

Both goals today were down to him. A fantastic performance to round off his best season ever.

What a player we have here.

It’s a shame we didn’t know you had travelled alone today Pancho.
It would have been an honour to have you spend the day with us and share the moments.

That’s a very kind thing to say hound, thank you.

I’m a bit of a ‘Johnny-no-mates’ at away games but it never bothers me as I always end up chatting to somebody (although not today as it happens) and I’ve enjoyed some brilliant away days this season as we’ve won so many games on our travels.

We must say hello at a game next season mate.
Enjoy your Summer and get ready for League One!

A word about our fans at Meadow Lane today - fantastic.

2,013 supporters and it felt like every one of them sang their hearts out from the first minute to the last.
It was brilliant being in the middle of that lot today. I’ve never chanted and sung so much at a Rovers game in my life.

And I’m 67 years old, so you’re never too old to go berserk!

I'm another that travelled alone, but we're never alone, are we? Great chat in the Industry Bar with a bloke about how great these moments are following our club, then chatted to the guy sat next to me for most of the game.
My throat is killing from singing lol.

No one has mentioned the referee who I don’t think I shouted at (from my armchair) even once! Well done Mr Herczeg.

I have to say how loud and proud the fcuk Darren Moore chant was sung by our fans.
It really showed the respect we all had for him.
