Even from that still it is not clear from which head that ball came last.

Ref is in a perfect position to see that the Orient player clearly got his head to it. That is one of the worst decisions I've ever seen.

It's very clear from the moving image.

Thought the ref was poor, he also missed 2 penalties one for each team.

I watched that thinking how will rovers fair next year against these “better” league one teams - I think nerves plays a big part in these games, but nowt to be scared of at all, in fact I really can’t wait!

I just watched the highlights.
The offside goal was an incredible mistake by the ref and linesman.
As has been said also, two clear cut pens not given.

On reflection, this demonstrates perfectly how utterly stupid the current offside law is.

The Orient No23 is clearly and unquestionably seeking to gain an unfair advantage. This is PRECISELY what the spirit of the offside law was introduced to punish.

When Beckles goes to flick on the ball, the Stockport defender cannot know that the No23 is in an offside position. So he HAS TO challenge for the ball. If in doing so, the ball skims off his head and lands at No23's feet, of course No23 has benefited from his unfair positioning, and morally should be called offside.

The fact that the ball came off Beckles' head made this a shocking decision anyway, but surely the law needs to be looked at again to stop this sort of deliberate shit-lining.

This was ‘an incident waiting to happen’.

A stupid, stupid rule that makes no sense whatsoever.

If it’s a clear offside the officials should call it immediately.

Not sure where you're coming from BST. When the ball is played back into the area, Kelman is onside, so he's making a run to get on the end of the ball. Take Beckles out of the equation and you would say he's timed his run perfectly.

The error of course comes from Beckles flick which wasn't seen by the officials.

-lining.
not really as the number 23 ended up there from the initial 1st header from further out when he possibly was onside and wasn’t just stood there to start with,I presume the officials missed it coming of beccles head which is like has been said piss poor and it’s things like this where VAR have been good and not other things where it takes few minutes to decide,

My apologies. I'd not seen the footage before the flick on and assumed Kelman was in an offside position when the ball was played in.

There have been examples like that this season.

I's only when I saw the Galbraith thread that I realised (A) the match had been played and (b) Orient somehow got through

In the first Orient match when the "cheat" goal went in I put a handful on the draw and when the scores were level ploughed the "paper then profit" on to a Stockport  win -as I thought there was only one side going to win that .

I also only just found out Charlton got through.

You might know that Orient & Charlton don't exactly like each other

what I do remember from earlier in the season is : -

Charlton snatched all three points at the death to stun Leyton Orient in a London derby featuring two League One play-off hopefuls. Charlton were trailing to a Jordan Brown wonderstrike, before Macauley Gillesphey and Kayne Ramsay both scored in added time to give the visitors a 2-1 victory.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cgkmxlyzpkkt

and don't forget we have two similar  ROTTWEILER managers  --
