I’ve just seen him on the Wheeltappers and Shunters Club on Talking Pictures, I didn’t know who he was so I’ve googled him and it says he’s from Doncaster, anyone on here know anything about him

Jimmy Marshall told one of my favourite jokes.
A lorry driver had to deliver a load of wood to London from Edinburgh.
He got to Newcastle, pulled over and asked a passer by if this was London.
No.
So drove on and got to Doncaster, Silver Street.
Wound the window down.
Is this London?
No.
Finally got to London.
Wound the window down, Is this London
Yes
Well, where do you want this wood?

Jimmy died several years ago.

He did. I crashed into his car on my BMX once.

I hope that he saw the funny side of it.
