Signed for Bradford. Looked very good the times I saw Salford last year, sort of thing we are looking for!

A curious signing this one in my opinion.
He looked a bang-average L2 defender on the two occasions I saw him play last season.

Several Bradford fans are puzzled and underwhelmed by this, given that City have surprisingly let Richie Smallwood go this week. City fans were assuming it was about being ruthless and going for younger players.
But Tilt is a similar age to Smallwood, albeit he plays in a different position.
Smallwood played almost every game for City last season and was their player of the year.

City have also signed 32-year-old Max Power who has only played 24 games in the last two years.

Doesn't look to me like brilliant recruitment by Bradfud so far.

Agree with the above bang average league 2 player- didn’t rate him at all with the ball at his feet, looked clumsy and easy to get at to me.

I watched Salford probably 6 or 7 times last year outside of the games against rovers. Tilt was a solid defender on all the games and Mom in a few of them.

For those that saw him a couple of times against us maybe we made him look average?!

34 isn't a worry to me either, personally think we need an older head or two in there now.

I would have been happy to sign him but you know what they say about opinions and arseholes.

Fair do's Ryaldinho, you saw him a lot more than I did.

Interestingly, one Bradford fan said that Tilt did well against Jatta but "not so well against Donny, who gave him the run-around".

My point really was that many City fans are concerned that they've signed an 'average' L2 player in his latter years, when they've been promoted to L1 and should be signing L1 players.

I do think it's strange they have released smallwood then signed tilt.

I know they are different positions but I had assumed releasing smallwood was some sort of policy on age.

I thought that I had put a smiley face at the end Neil. Didn’t want to sound picky. :)
I must have put it in on the keyboard but disappear when I posted so added this one at preview.  :scarf:
