  Is it now becoming one of our main income streams? Will Flint , and Sam Brown with Faulkner who only briefly was attached as an amateur to the academy and was the product mainly of Fishlake Juniors and Askern Welfare not being a scholar at the club, look like they have progressed to being loaned out and progressing the clubs image of bringing through players to professional level'
  Add the fact that top clubs watch and have paid to take players to their own academies.
  So contrary to some who in the past on here have been critical of the academy and would have directed funds from it specifically to the first team I think were  misinformed and came to the wrong conclusion.
 People like Tony Mee, Tony Cook, Steve Welsh, John Buckley, Kevan Wilds, Gary McSheffrey and too many others to mention can be proud of what they have achieved picking the academy up especially after the Covid era, It's a well done to all from me and to all the lads who come out of the academy well rounded young men none failures and better for the experience and hopefully still playing football at whatever level, we have players in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East who came through  your academy, something as a supporter you and the club can be proud of.

We did, forgot about that and I think Bessie Red is right about Ben Blythe commanding a fee. They were 2-3 years ago though so I’m struggling to see how selby can call it one of our main income streams.

I seem to recall a MTO where it was discussed. I think its a minor revenue stream primarily because we get paid grants and other things by the Premier League, the FA, and the like to run it. Given there's every chance a player could emerge from it also like Blythe, etc who we get a transfer fee for, it's probably akin to playing the lottery i.e. a small cost in the grander scheme of things for the chance to make a significant sum at any point.

Talking of the academy they are playing against Retford now. It’s half time and we’ve played well. Retford have scored from a corner but other than that I’d say we’re playing all the football.

Our number 6 at centre half and 10 player upfront and sometimes on the right look like players who could step up. Generally though I’m impressed by our physicality. We’re much bigger and stronger than Utd which is half the battle turning young lads into pro players.

Change all 10 outfield player at half. Average age of the team in the second half looked about 15.

The centre halves we have on the books look really good in both half’s. Number6 in the 1st and then in the 2nd number 15 the pick for me.

Selby is the one to answer those questions Ryaldinhio. When I used to watch them a few years ago, their home games were at Cantley Park. But, I think more recently, they play at the all-weather pitch at the EcoPower.

  The u18s usually play at Cantley on Saturday mornings 11 am KO the fixtures are usually on the drop down on the main club forum with pen pictures of the academy players..
  The younger groups play on Sundays usually at the eco on 4g pitches the u16s sometimes doubling up with the u18s on the Saturday at Cantley. and all the younger groups play games mid week at the Eco and also train there Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  Information about the younger groups from u16s down is a little harder to get as the FA under child protection ban naming players  and I think advertising the games.
   In the last few years a cup competition has been introduced with games played at Rossington for home games which to be honest could be better advertised by the club.
