Always liked the guy but after today's interview,  I fookin love him.
His determination knows no bounds and this time, it looks like he wants DRFC to reach his heights rather than bail out.

As said in other posts, he's not just building a 1st eleven or 24 man squad, he's building the whole footballing side of the club.
He clearly has a vision for our club.

My favourite manager and a big reason why I bought my first season ticket since I was in my late teens.

I'd even wade through shit and drag my b*llocks through broken glass for this man.

Saw it at Notts County. It's not as much fun as you'd think.

I'm not quite so committed as the OP, but Grant is definitely up there with SOD in having a proper vision for his football, and is setting about achieving it. I support him all the way, but maybe with my physical wellbeing staying safe!

What could tempt Grant away is the chance to manage N.Ireland as and when Michael O’Neill leaves. He must be near to of their list with David Healy, but his experience is so far restricted to managing The Blue Shitte/Linfield

Why does he have to do this? I can understand him going off on one last season, as he was still smarting after the Crewe game. This next season is different gravy, though. Is it just better to lie low under the radar and see how it goes?

Does he really think we have a squad ready for an onslaught on league 1? I can’t say I’m 100% convinced, well not yet anyway. This season’s pre warm up games are hardly going to set any tongues wagging amongst any of our rivals, as most are against lower league clubs. Yes,  I know a similar format served us well last season and I’m not discounting that. But, we can’t read much into the games ourselves, as there’s no ‘yardstick’ as such, well not until the Blackpool game.

Having said all that, I wasn’t 100% convinced at the start of last season,  either, and that worked out ok in the end.

It would be easy to expect too much, but I'm hopeful for this season.

Healy turned the northern Ireland job down last year. I'm good pals with Ciaran Donaghy (Yes Mal's lad) he's now part of the coaching set up for the Irish FA and he told me that Healy isn't interested in managing the national side so that will probably put grant higher up the ladder. Can't think of other Northern Irish managers apart from Jim Magilton who is highly thought of by the Irish FA hopefully keeps grant off their radar

I didn’t know Healy had turned down the N.Ireland job, I know he had turned down a couple of approaches from from Scottish clubs. Perhaps he just wants to stay in a fairly secure job at Linfield, knowing that they’ll be in the shake up every season, maybe not this year with  Coleraine having money pumped into them
