Someone at my golf club is Sam’s father. Sam played in Rovers Academy and then played semi pro for Rossington Main then Tadcaster Albion. There is also a Gofund me page. All monies are going towards Sam’s Physio treatment.
Here is some background…..

Those who know me are aware of my son's accident back in March when he fell a considerable height and fractured his spine in three places, amongst other injuries. Unfortunately, one of the fractures impacted on his spinal cord and he lost all motor function from his mid section down.

I am happy to announce he has regained some motor function.
Today he is to be discharged home from the spinal unit and he will commence intense neuro physiotherapy for as long as it takes to give him the best chance of walking again.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members that have supported me and my family since the accident and to post an event taking place this Sunday afternoon at Rossington Main FC. Sam used to play semi pro football with Rossington and more recently at Tadcaster Albion FC and they are coming together with about 10 ex professionals footballers in a charity match. All proceeds from the gate and raffle will aid Sam's continued rehab.

Cheers Steve Kitch and family
