When is someone going to do us all a favour and remove this little c*nt's front teeth? I don't like violent women, but it would be appropriate if one of these big lasses that do door work nowadays were to do it.

His response to the Lioness's magnificent achievement was as predictable as it was vile.

I've met some misogynists in my time, but never like him. His mother must have leathered the crap out of him.

He's atrocious and has made a new career of being a prick to rival Andrew Tate. He'll be the first to bleat when someone fills him in.

Scumbag. You don’t have a rap sheet as long as his for no reason.

I worked the bar at Zini’s one uni holiday about 15 years ago and served him a couple of times when he was in there with his agent, a certain Willie McKay (birds of a feather and all that). He was rude and obnoxious and treated the staff like they were beneath him. Complete contrast to some of the other big names that I served in there (Lee Westwood & Ryan Sidebottom off the top of my head). Sidebottom was a great lad, even had a laugh about when I’d watched him play for Notts at a deserted Trent Bridge a year or two earlier and kept drunkenly shouting at him to turn around and show me his front bottom.

Second rate player who became a fourth rate manager who can't get work, so turned to being a podcast grifter. He's a Kitson but it's an act, don't give him the attention.

I remember being at Fleetwood a few years back, during McCann's first season. He was gobbing off at our bench until Cliff stood up and took a step towards him. He piped down straight away. That sums him up. Just a garden variety cowardly bully.

I meant his current role as a wannabe shock jock/alt right podcast grifter. He's a nasty piece of work no doubt. Maybe act was the wrong word, he knows what he's doing and is trying to provoke to get attention for his podcast, is what I meant. Just got to starve him of the oxygen of publicity. I'm not really keen on him having the oxygen of oxygen to be honest.

Unfortunately we’re living in a time where being a total knobhead makes you a lot of money. The fact that we are talking an about him is raising his profile further as a pantomime villain, it’s self perpetuating.

That comment about scoring 1000 out of 1000 penalties against Mary Earps was just crying out for Mary to accept the challenge and put him back in his box. Sky could cover it..... I'd watch.

He's a prime example of someone who lacks talent, so his only claim to fame is infamy.

Joey is a w**ker but calling a man that played hundreds of Premier League games and played football for England a “second rate player”, is just b*llocks.

Inciting violence against a person and use of foul language on a public forum, no matter how deserving the subject may be, is illegal and prosecuted in today's Britain. There is a lady currently serving 31 months in prison for an offence of this nature.

There is no way he could score 1000 pens in a row.

The vast majority of people in this country use foul language. The vast majority aren't misogynists.

I'm as much a spiritual believer as anyone else, but I loved the quote from one of  the "Porky's" trilogy.

"So Sayeth the Lord, So Sayeth the Flock".

"Aw, get the flock out of here".

If all Joey Barton did was swear a bit, or even a lot, we wouldn’t be having this discussion at all.

In and out of the Man City side when they were shit. In and out of the Newcastle side when they were shit. One England cap during the absolute worst time for England in my lifetime, after he had hired a PR guy to rehab his image into one of a maverick genius who wears turtleneck jumpers. I try to avoid saying stuff like this generally, because talented people can do awful things too. But I think I was being generous calling this mug second rate.

Anyway, this thread might have something to do with why he's chirping up lately...

For those who don't do twitter, he now owes over half a million quid in legal costs after calling Jeremy Vine a nonce. Whoops!

"played football for England"?

Barton?

That's rather stretching a point.

He spent 30 minutes looking like Tom trying to catch Jerry as the Spanish midfield ran round him at will.

It was one of the most excruciatingly embarrassing examples of a player being hyped up way beyond his actual ability that you could ever see.

I actually felt sorry for him.

(Only kidding. I laughed my cock off.)

Glad you went through it - saved me a job. Barton was never anywhere near a 'first rate' player.

You don’t play hundreds of games in the Prem on hype alone.
