Luton v Wimbledon

Well, the first half was like a L2 game last season. Wimbledon on the grind for a point or 3 on the smash and grab, and Luton playing like Walsall in the last 4 months of the season

Not a nice image, hopefully the standard of game will improve when we are involved.

It's been a terrible game with no real quality.  Luton has had the lion's share of possession but really haven't done anything with it. Wimbledon have just seemed content in packing bodies behind the ball and making it difficult.

I think this league will be a bit like this at times. Teams just taking points off each other. I can't see anyone running away with it this year.

The first shot on target. 62nd minute.

Half volley from the edge of the box following a corner, Bishop in the Dons goal got across and made a good stop. Bishop looks a very capable replacement for Goodman in the shithousery and timewasting stakes.

Wimbledon look like they won’t even get to double figures in goals this season! Horrific from an attacking perspective.

And an own goal now. Great header. Difficult to put that in from there but he managed it.  :silly:

Had a 13 fold ACCA didn't realise I had included Luton and was just saying I shouldn't have included the early kick off with they scored with the next kick

Poor game, referee seemed decent though so hopefully that side of things will improve this season

Next time you want to do a 13 fold acca, just send me your stake and I'll text you back to say it lost. Will save some time.

I had it in a both teams to score acca (with this game as no, so that's a win)

Was never going to be a good game this one. Not sure why it got picked for TV coverage.

Hard to play flowing football against Wimbledon, we weren’t great in either game against them last year.

Obvious why it was on telly - Luton ex-prem 2 seasons ago and favourites to bounce back, against a promoted side.  Nailed on.

Youve seen it before clubs slide down and can’t stop ..Barnsley Blackpool Portsmouth Wimbledon etc Luton are focused on not spending money on players but a new stadium , so they are vulnerable and less likely to be as confident particularly away . Playoff at best imo .

They have the best squad. Saville and Baptiste in midfield are probably the best two midfielders in L1. Alli was poor last night but he’s a good championship player. They signed McGuinness for £10m last year! Finish above them you win the league.
