A stain on our club!
« on August 02, 2025, 08:27:38 pm by LincsRover »
What should have been a great winning first match back in league 1 was marred for me and my mates when a group of teen morons verbally abused a couple of young teenage Exeter fans who were minding their own business. They then followed them into the car park next to the Dulux shop and about a dozen of them kicked the sh*t out of them.

The scumbags ran off when we rushed over to help but one ended up missing a tooth and the other covered in blood from a bad head wound. We spent the next hour looking after him and bandaging his head to stop the blood. Not a copper in sight and someone rang an ambulance which they said would take 2 hours (2 f*ck*ng hours for a head wound!!!!). I ran back to the stadium and found 2 officers in a traffic car sat outside the main entrance having a nice chat. They took an age to get to the car park as there were queues and they showed no urgency! I got back quicker jogging and I’m 61 and no Usain Bolt!

Anyway 2 young lads travelled all the way from Exeter to watch their team and ended up in Donny royal! I know there are d*ckheads at all football clubs but they made me ashamed to be a Donny fan today. The police said they knew who they were as they’re regular troublemakers and a couple of girls and a vlogger bloke had filmed the whole lot. I hope the club bans them for life, I don’t want them to be any part of my club! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I saw something happening in the South Stand too in the second half, some sort of fighting but no idea why.

Did the people filming offer any help.?

Sounds like a disgraceful incident anyway.

We certainly have a fair contingent of kn*bs amongst our fans.

No, a couple of young girls who had travelled with them took photos of the thugs and the vlogger chap filmed it from his car. We ran across as the attack happened and they scattered and it was all a bit too late!

Never get many police on that route from stadium through Hyde Park. Only for the biggest local games will they post an officer at the end of that snicket. Always trouble every season there.

You see, this is the trouble with this country. There are no consequences to be faced for people's actions.

I'll just bet that these scrotes don't get custodial sentences.

Pathetic.

Maybe it will be worthwhile putting a complaint in to the police about their response.

Alcohol? Lack of brain cells?

What caused the commotion this week in the south stand?

Apparently someone moved into a kids seat who had been down to the front to get a flag. Obviously I get it’s unreserved and go where you like but if it’s a kid who is with his family it does seem a bit harsh

You only have to listen around the south stand to understand that the hooliganism culture is back and bubbling away again, it’s become cool and a right of passage to the young guys and girls.

It’s sad and quite a few will end up regretting their choice. It is starting to remind me of the late 80’s  early 90’s pubs ,drugs , designer gear they can’t really afford (or knock off) and tear ups is the bigger attraction than the football.

This is not just a DRFC issue by any means.

I hope they get what they deserve. No fan who has no interest in this hooliganism should be subject to such violence. I hope the Exeter fans are ok.

This is absolutely sickening.

If the police know who they are and there is video footage of them it is imperative that the club acts to ensure they are banned immediately. Quite apart from any action that the police might take.

I went to Tranmere away last season with my girl who was 12 at the time. Went in at HT for a drink and some chips or whatever and I was shocked at the level of pissed up w**kers in there. A few of em wanted ironing out. Embarrassing.

And yes I was one of the others that didn't say a word because I had my kid with me.

f**king dim wits that wouldn't get into a 1 on 1.

The group that has beaten up 2 Exeter kids will no doubt be in Donny still telling everyone how they turned over the Exeter crew.

Sad.

I bet this game didn’t even get Policed, last season we had 11 fans arrested in total, I doubt Exeter had many more. It will have been rated really low in relation to Risk.
The Club Safety Officer should have sorted this!

What was just as concerning was coming back on the coach to Exeter a few of our young supporters age around 11 were again being verbally abused by some total idiots. One has had screen shots turned over to the police. The mentality of some is mind numbing. I would hope your club would make a formal apology for both lots of mornic behaviour. Our fans are amongst the best in this league for getting behind our team and cause no trouble so this has marred many people's feelings toward DRFC. Parents were visibly shocked by what happened today. As someone who works with children I for one wont return after that welcome

I will never go to an away game again due to both the number of scrotes that follow our club and the violence which maybe not as bad as it was in the 80's, but has never gone away and quite frankly I can't comprehend.

Simply not a safe environment to take my little boy.

I wonder if this group will be as visible when the like of Barnsley, Cardiff and Huddersfield are in town?

I went to nearly every one last season and trouble was at an absolute minimum. Can’t remember seeing any bar Tranmere away.

Is the club management aware this happened? They can't be responsible for the behaviour of these idiots, but I would expect they will want to make some kind of apology to the victims and their families as well as take some action against the yobs if they are identified.

Sorry but we have stopped going to away matches purely because of the actions of our supporters, and not just young boys but adults of all ages.
We attended Hull where there was trouble, and Notts County where there was trouble and a potentially very dangerous situation where some of our supporters could have been very seriously injured.

With regards to the younger element at our home games, this needs to be sorted.
It’s the same group looking for trouble at every game, we saw them many times last season with some videos of them.
Surely with all the cameras in and around the ground, the group involved in this latest incident can be identified.

Does anyone know who I need to email to report this to the club please or is there anyone on here (the supporters liaison?) who can take this forward? You’re right, they need to know so they can ban these scumbags, preferably for life. The police have all the details so the club can liaise with them once they are aware.

As I was walking back post match to car park 3, I heard a youth telling his pals that he was meeting up with some Exeter fans for a scrap, he laughed because they were 14 year olds.
Pardon my ignorance but how do they arrange the ‘get togethers’?   He was referring to his phone when he said, 14 year olds.

There were a group of 10 or so young and older lads in front of us. Exeter fans looking and pointing at people on our way back to the station. We held back a bit. They turned of towards Hyde park. I only saw 2 police walking towards the station from car park 2.
Feel for the two Exeter supporters.
Must feel good these idiots that walk around in groups picking on a couple of lads. We are in a strange world. Why can’t everyone just get on

Just reading this and it’s made feel a little bit sick if truth be told. The level of the violence described deserves nothing less than custody for those involved. If you are on this forum and you were involved in this disgrace, be man enough to hand yourselves in - although I doubt very much they’d have the bottle. Utter scum bags that should never be allowed to step foot in our stadium again.

For those of us with children of our own, I can only imagine how the victims parents are feeling.

Made me feel really down reading that. Imagine giving your teenager the freedom to go and support their club with their mates that far away from home and you get a call to be told they’ve had their heads kicked in. I think in football a massive song and dance is made about equality and racism in the game and rightly so, I’m by no means playing those subjects down at all but, for me the safety of supporters young or old and driving these thugs out of the game falls into a far bigger category than words and name calling.

Me and my husband have supported our Club for many many years home and away, and we feel exactly the same, we would love to travel again to away games, but don’t because of these selfish mindless morons.  Sad thing is they get away with it!

Not sure how the club safety officer can do owt to prevent what goes on outside the stadium environment.?
