We keep getting awards for the way we welcome fans ,for fan engagement , for community activities to help various social groups like fit Rovers and others .We should be aware of that in all we do because the top clubs in the Premiership have lost what we have .RTID .Comments welcomed !

Agree completely Graing, the smaller clubs can have a much more direct relationship with their community and we've been great at building those links and being a positive member of our communities. It's why it's so sad to see clubs like Morecambe struggle as it's more than football that's lost in places like that.
It feels like the club have more of a connection that ever with people in Doncaster, and long may that continue.

I do like the connection between players and supporters lower down the leagues.
We were away to Bristol Rovers a few years back and lead 1-0. Matty Blair was warming up down the sideline in front of the Rovers away fans. A young lad shouted ‘Matty are we going to Win?’ In an instant Matty replied ‘4-0’. The lad said ‘no way’.The game went on and Alfie May was warming up and needed a piddle, so instead of heading round to the dressing rooms he hopped into the Rovers end trotted up the terrace and used the supporters loo. The match finished 4-0 to Rovers and at the end Matty came running over and was asking everyone where the lad, who said ‘no way’ was.

It's like the celebrations this summer, players in the Sal and round town - wanting to spend the time with the fans. I think that's built relationships between fans and team hugely.
Ours is a good club, not always perfect, but its heart is in the right place and it feels a good time to be a fan. Hopefully this is not a high-water mark, but just a point in the continued rise of the club.

Thinking I might have had a good idea by suggesting season tickets for schools and their pupils and teachers, I emailed Shaun .He thanked me and said they were already onto the idea through the Foundation and their network of schools .Our community strategy clearly has many action plans!
