Was that the season when we bought Richard Dawson as striker? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more unlucky forward in a Rovers shirt.

Wasn't that the season we started off really well but then both Warboys and Dawson got injured??

Definitely gets the great start into perspective.

We beat Exeter who don't look the pushovers they were predicted to be.

Mansfield started playing better since we beat them.

Port Vale, not that I have alot of time for them, haven't got the results they probably deserved.

Rotherham are showing signs of improvement too.

Obviously Huddersfield was a good performance despite the result and  their results to date suggest they may not be the powerhouse they're expected to be.

Still very early days and we're in a run of fixtures which look tough on paper and we're doing well. I know it's boring but the 2 points per game average is the best benchmark rather than the actual league position. At the end of September with Bradford, Wigan, Wimbledon and Luton to come, if we're between 1.75 and 2 pts then we're bang on it.

Just looked at the league table for the first time this season and it surprised me somewhat. There’s a number of fancied teams struggling at the moment. Can’t believe Vale haven’t won a game for instance. Blackpool, Reading  Rotherham all in the bottom half. I know it’s VERY early days for them and for us. But I honestly don’t think there’s anything to fear for us. Our defence and midfield must be up there amongst the best. If we can sort the top end of the pitch out to function consistently then we can make a real stab at promotion this season.
