According to Mansfield and Port Vale fans we were a poor side they should have beaten. Rovrum supporters pointed out we were nothing special and Bradford fans made the point that we had all the luck in the world and a referee who might as well have been wearing a red and white hooped shirt. So basically the league table is lying and we are going straight back down   ;)

Yeah, heard that, Port Vale fans stating they dominated and were unlucky, Rovrum and Mansfield fans saying both teams were relegation candidates, Exeter fans saying both teams were poor, only fans that have had anything positive to say about us are Udders, funnily the only team to beat us so far, strange that

I have seen with my own eyes that we have the squad and management to be competitive in league one and quite possibly be top six material.

I don't know, I've heard quite a few comments from vloggers etc  with positive comments about us, saying we've converted that momentum and we are a good all round team.

As we've seen from opposition teams who've been successful, you don't have to be spectacular and win 3-0 every week. It's about consistently making fewer mistakes, doing the basics well, and taking chances when they come. I'd love it if we get 25 more "they don't look anything special" comments after we take the three points.

The answer to the question though is yes.

We are away to a good start, but with a long way to go. I still think mid table would be a great finish, but we have a squad that is now used to winning games, we have an astute manager and good back up off the field of play, and have momentum, and hope springs eternally that we can do even better than we thought.
By the way I also thought Bradford and Port vale would struggle this season, and don't rate either manager in football terms anywhere near as good as Grant, players stop listening to them eventually and they are poor characters blaming everyone but themselves especially at Port Vale.
And after watching Harrogate v Mansfield in the efl trophy Tuesday night with Mansfield fielding a mixture of young and first team squad players they on that match viewing have nowhere near the strength in depth we have Faulkner dominating them.

I think it's normal for run-of-the-mill fans to give opponents little or no credit. Maybe a handful of them will be honest enough to offer an unbiased opinion, and in that respect, our supporters are no different.

The embarrassing bit is when professional team managers act likewise.

As for the OP question, I think we'll win the league.

Like from performances so far of course we've made the step up and are riding the crest of a wave.

I'm trying to not get ahead of myself.. but it's tough. Over the years we've seen plenty of teams start well and fade away. Would love to see us compete for promotion. Heart says we'll be up there at the end of the season. Head says it will still be very tough to get play offs.

50 points by Xmas and we are good enough to think about being promotion chasers, one step at a time, but nothing is out of the picture at the moment. Relegation is not an option I would have thought.

I thought we’d already made the step up to League One?! Have I dreamt it all?

We just need to keep doing what we are doing now and we will be in the Championship next season.

First of all, let me say I wasn’t at the Bradford game, but that first half at Huddersfield was something else. All it needed was a chance putting away and who knows how the game could have turned out.

We’ve had mixed performances from the point of view of style of winning games, sometimes unstoppable (Bradford) and others where we’ve ground out a win (Port Vale). The squad seems up for every challenge thrown at them - facing every game with desire, resolve, skill, effort, stamina and a will to win, or not lose.

I wonder, then, what’s going to happen come January? Will Grant go for further development to the squad? It’s a way off yet, of course, and lots can happen before then, but he’s reinforced every January since joining us. It makes you wonder how this season is going to play out.

Wigan up next and I think it’s going to be a tough physical challenge and I’d take a draw now, but you never know with this team!

All of the City fans in my local couldn’t believe how poor they were and all agreed that it was their worst performance of the season.
How much of that was down to how we played is another matter.
They all agreed that we should thrash Luton as they were crap when they lost 0-3 to city.
If only football was that simple.

Port Vale we were poor, their fans are right. A lot of the Mansfield game we were.

Amazing how Fans see things. Rotherham had 2 chances and didn't score and that meant a point at best but we created and took our chance

However Bradford City fans ( probably very few  tbf ) saying the Ref was a homer is way off the mark because Tilt for one should have seen Red either straight or 2 Yellows but the Ref did what Refs do. Award one Yellow then allow that Player a free pass to foul ( cheat ) the rest of the game

Also it was such a one way traffic and we bossed the game so much in the first half we produced moments of class ( Moly's well taken header ) and forced their defence into mistakes which to me are not defined as " bad luck"

Catch a centre back out dallying on a clearance is good play by the attacking side , poor play by the defending side not " good luck "

In the Poll of where will we finish I admit to having us in bottom 6 and hopefully I was well wrong by the look of it.

It's very early doors but we seem to have 2 players for each position as GM had striven for so a strong starting 11 whichever of the 22 is picked and a very strong bench.

Hope we keep it going ( and for Bantam fans hope our "luck" doesn't desert us

All of the City fans in my local last night agreed that we were by far the better team but that was the worst that they have played this season. How much of them being poor because of how we played was debatable. They all agreed that we seemed to want it much more.

Good luck at Wigan today.

Big game for us at the Taxpayers Stadium today (worst ground in the whole of England). They have actually put out messages banning their fans from wearing half and half scarves in case it causes trouble. That's the Premier League for you.

The showing to date gives us 2 points per game.

Perhaps the worst performance of the season but we know the players are better than that.

Today, fair enough, but even after that we’re 5th in the table and no one below us can overtake us with their games in hand. Wigan are a good team and we had a bad day but I’d say, so far, we have stepped up to league 1.

Wow , that's amazing from the Hammers , and maybe a reminder to our Fans travelling to look at the articles prohibited when we visit THFC

The usual articles are there of course but the list contains lots of other "rules" which you / we should adhere to.
