Saw Brian, with the Catenary Wires, this evening in Johnny Dankworth and Cleo Laine's 'The Stables' just south of Milton Keynes in Woburn Sands. Very good value. Deadpan, self deprecating delivery, good tunes, impressive lead guitar and entirely controversy free. A shame that last tbh. I'd persuaded my right wing ex MK Councillor friend to go too. But a good night out. Intelligent humour, music, a beer and a nice place. Can't ask for much more. If he/they are in your neck of the woods you could do a lot worse. BobG
Brian and the Catenary Wires were brilliant last night at the Foundry in Sheffield.Great music as always and fantastic delivery from Brian.Almost got herded into the Kneecap gig at the Octagon next door where they were all getting scanned with metal detectors whilst our gig was much more civilised. Not sure if I spotted Spud but we were on the back row if you were looking.
There’s four of us going and you should be able to spot us as one of the group is about eight foot tall with messy hair and an unruly beard. He also happens to be Donnywolfs nephew!
