Individual errors and consistently poor finishing are the main problems. You can criticise the team selection and formation but until we sort those two out, it doesn't matter who is playing where. These are the basics.

We had a very clear chance to go 2-1 up yet Bailey I think it was somehow kept a goal bound shot out. If that went in we were likely to have got a draw at least. Northampton didn't create many chances at all.

Billy is not a lone striker, until that changes we will continue to be woeful up front

Ajayi was worth a shot and he did alright. What else in the selection would have worked?

Too many individual errors and we clearly need a new striker who's good enough.  This is how you find out about players.

Definitely a be careful what you wish for showing today. Drop Molyneux and Gibson is a huge downgrade even when playing badly. Ajayi is becoming Yeboah

Have to respectfully disagree on that one. He should have started with a L2 loan, he’s absolutely nowhere near this level.

While I must have been watching a different game because I thought Ajayi was shocking today. Don’t understand why he was in the starting 11, he offers nothing at all.

I agree he looks a level below this absolutely. But he worked hard and had some good touches. There's a good player there just not yet at this level, it's too early. But he needed a shot imo, certainly wasn't why we lost.

Lack of energy all over the pitch, the players are playing with the crowd ready to explode at any interval, very difficult conditions to play under, akin to running in quicksand, they just need to hold their nerve, the breaks will come and they need to be taken.

This is where a good manager shows his worth by being brave, we need input from both sides of the touchline.

Ajayi should not make the squad full stop. No idea of positioning, challenging, etc

Ajayi would have been better if he’d stayed at Spurs! One of a few wasteful signings.

Said last week Ajayi wants sending back and Mcgrath has been shocking, yet they both start today.

We are in freefall. Very worrying times.

Also end of the game. Thought it was a bit toxic. Some fans were flagging Grant off in the south stand. Not good.

Just the kitman and the physio to try in next week's starting 11

Surely in the next few days of training the rule has to be that the ball must go forward!
We are far too slow to get the ball forward, thus making the striking problem even worse, trying to find a way through with all opposing players behind the ball.

Be brave how? He made loads of changes today. Probably too brave. Just pick the best XI FFS, it’s becoming pretty clear who is in it.

What’s the definition of insanity?

Trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

The problem is the formation and tactics, the personnel doesn’t change the end result.

Let’s go 4-4-2 if necessary and give Billy some help up top?

Call it 4-1-2-1-2 or whatever, I don’t care, just create width and allow  Bailey and whoever plays alongside him an opportunity to pass it forwards.

This isn’t working

There's an element of blue arsed fly about Ajayi but with naff all benefit. Mc Grath seems to have gone from rising star to bloomin liability and our keeper is one more fumble away from being renamed Timotee Localamity.

I remarked for their first penalty, how quickly they moved the ball into the box after winning it back on the right.

We just don’t do anything at pace.

We can't go from being superb at the start of the season to being woeful I think we just need a couple of wins to get the confidence back. But we seriously need to be scouting for a forward to come in now because that is where will get the confidence from.i feel for Billy as he is being made to look awful because he as no support.

He’s being made to look awful because he can’t run.

Making subs earlier when it was obvious we were struggling, waiting until 68 mins and going 2-1 down is not being brave

We are sooooo predictable!

Shaky at the back, average in midfield & clueless up top.
