Scott McTominay, what a fantastic piece of skill & technique to score that first goal.

Man Utd want shooting for allowing him to leave, but credit due to him to make a name for himself in Europe since joining Napoli.

Glad to see ANY of the ‘home nation teams’ qualify for major tournaments. I’d include the Republic in there too.

I love Scotch eggs.

I used to work with a great Welsh lad who described Irish and Scots as like Welsh men but with no brains.

“Fiercest international rivals”?!

Are you having a laugh?

Englishmen and Scots are natural enemies. Like Welshmen and Scots. Or Japanese and Scots. Or Scots and other Scots!

Curacao, Cape Verde, Haiti, Scotland. Almost as if the yanks want a bootload of goals at 'their' world cup.

Yep. Two years of European qualifiers just to get rid of San Marino, Lichtenstein, Andorra, Cyprus and Gibraltar. The Faroe Islands only just missed out.  Everyone else is off to the finals. It’s a farce.

Give it another 12 years & the ‘Cooke Islands’ will be qualifying.

Cape Verde qualified through African groups, so well done to them!
Curacao and Haiti are in the North America, Central America and Caribbean group, helped by Mexico and the USA being hosts, so understandable. But, why are Suriname in that group, they are in South America!!

Not a Scotland fan by any stretch but that was magical! As a football fan brings back, Stoke, Wembley, Brentford, marvellous isn’t it!  jumpers for goal posts.

No, I'm not down with this love in for one of fiercest International rivals.

This.  I'd much rather hear this than some of the patronising "I'm pleased for them" stuff.  How do we feel when the likes of the Sheffield clubs, Leeds and even Rotherham and Barnsley don't think we're rivals when playing in the same division and are pleased for us when we get promoted, etc.  Like it or not it's the oldest international match and just because one of the sides is way better than the other doesn't mean it isn't a rivalry.

As a Scot it felt very much like Brentford.  Was pretty sure we'd **** it up as we always do and we looked terrible for most of the game against a decent Denmark team.  The ref was shocking all game for both sides, not just for the penalty and sending off.  The release of tension with that ending was the same as Coppinger scoring.

I've already had half a dozen comments/messages with the "three and done" and "you'll never make it out of the group" from friends and colleagues.  And they're probably right and we'll probably get stuffed by Iraq... but much like following Donny it's about what your expectations are.  Rovers never winning the premier league or FA Cup doesn't diminish our support or pride in their more limited achievements.

They were dominated by a 10 man Denmark, I’m with Nudga, f**k em, even their anthem is about a battle against the English, they hate us with a passion

And the first goal was scored by an Englishman

Don't worry Filo,Nudga, they will do a Wales,be all singing, dancing and bragging, our news media will be having a lovin with them for months, doing cringeworthy fans interviews with locals who have never been to a football match, spending thousands on their country world cup souvenirs cheap tat, only for them to go out in a whimper after only the first 2 group games.Looking forward to it,just need Trump to Tee off pre-match with his St Andrews clubs on the pitch before their first game,to put the cherry on the top,as others says, they hate us with a passion,so only right they get it back,Karma.

They have only ever won 4 games at the World Cup in their entire history, and one of those was against Zaire, a country that no longer exists. In more recent history across their last three tournaments (1986, 1990 and 1998) they have won a single game. Form could change come the summer but on past form it will be another humiliation for them.
