9 minutes added time
« on December 09, 2025, 10:48:08 pm by Donnywolf »
and the so called Ref blew on 9 minutes 11 seconds and 2 of their players laid down in 6 yard box for a whole heap of time which quite clearly wasn't added

I said when they displayed 9 minutes , that's just 3 throw ins 2 goal kicks and a Corner ( to them ) and its game over

I would love to know the exact time played in that 9 minutes as , as I have said before we are being ripped off

We are not watching a game of football but a collection of Players finding a way NOT to play any football or at least keep the game to an absolute minimum

And yes I know we do it and will do it if and when we are leading or even drawing but I dont like that either

Iv never seen a player celebrate a goal at one end of the stadium.
Then run back to the centre circle to sit down injured. Remarkable

As frustrating as it was for us Stockport were managing the game and stopping any momentum we might get. However they are by far the dirtiest team I’ve seen us play this season.

When the board went up for nine minutes add on time I said to my mate that the ball wouldn’t be in in play for four of those minutes and I guess I was right.
Surely none of these refs that we get now have ever played the game or do they not have the brains to understand what is going on on the pitch.

Don't know if their Yellow Card for time wasting at the NW corner was in added time but it still cost 90 seconds ish after nobody was going to take it ( as is irritatingly becoming the knew normal )

Then they sent one of the furthest players away who pretended with that ( now normal ) jog that is barely a walk.

Once he'd arrived he went through his corner taking routine waved his arms , pointed a few times , then called over a different taker.

The Ref gave him a Yellow but he'd take that all day long to get his Team over the line and none of those 90 ish seconds were added to the Added time I bet

We could have played another 9 HOURS last night and we still wouldnt have scored.

That was the issue Grayx, it didn't matter as we couldn't offer anything up - it was far more likely that they would have scored than us.

Not sure what Grant was thinking last night, but bad selection and late changes in the wrong places killed us, not a few minutes less of injury time. We need to buck our ideas up sharpish or it'll be a long trip to Cardiff for a spanking.

Agree totally but at least we would be watching "action" instead of a bunch of blokes trying to win ( or draw ) at all costs using an ever increasing tool kit

We do it when we are winning. I don’t like time wasting but it’s just part of the game.

Hi reg

I totally agree , we were really poor last night and never looked like scoring , but as usual my beef was with the way we as fans are paying good money to watch a game BUT how we are being deprived of the game we wanted to watch by a cynical business

It's win at all costs or any cost and the ball is in play now less that 58 minutes on average so one third of the time holds no interest whatsoever *

Unless people are entertained by fake injuries , or players running on the spot when walking to take a corner , or a 2000 a week goalkeeper missing a ball rolled to him by a Ball boy

I 100% agree DW, they were one of the worst teams for 'gamesmanship' I've seen in ages, and another dodgy ref didn't help, but we went down with a whimper instead of a fight. I was giving the long haired lad pelters when he sat down straight from their goal, but he looked like he was crying coming off so maybe something more serious than we thought! It is ruining the game though, a combination of more teams at it, and worse and worse officials, means it's a growing issue. I thought we'd escaped the worst of it when we got promoted to L1 but sadly not!!

Has anyone got a full recording of the game please

If yes I would love to see how long the ball was actually in play during the 9 added minutes

The (so called) Ref blew let's say after 9 minutes 15 seconds and I bet the ball was not in Play for more than 3 minutes 15 seconds of that time

The ball isnt in play all the time in football matches. Two thirds of the time at most. Must admit though, that the ball probably wasnt in play for 6 of the 9mins.

Didn’t stop him enthusiastically celebrating the goal and then jogging back to the Centre Circle and then sitting down, injured or not, that was a cynical ploy to slow things down
