When will TLT learn to push the ball out for a corner instead of losing it in the danger zone?

Some very lightweight defending going on, with powder puff challenges all over...we are short of a few proper mesters!

We scored some good goals, but we'll not avoid relegation with that kind of defending.

First time I've seen the winning goal. Yes, we can debate whether he could have held on to it, but he did push the ball away from goal. Nobody seems to have mentioned Moly who was ball watching and froze rather than tracking his man.

Yes, there's some weak defending from BOTH teams but overall it's a better performance than Tuesday by a long way.

We continually let runners get away and into our defence simply running through the lines. Grehan and Maxwell are poor at allowing this, and we don't really have a midfield anchor to step in to stop it happening.

Would Cardiff have run through us with an Alan Little type prepared to break up the play when needed?
Rovers seem very open to me when the opposition are direct and pacey.

If he didn't think he could hold on to it (and he made no attempt to) he should have tipped it round the post for a corner (which he also made no attempt to do).

All he's focussed on is saving a relatively tame shot.

It’s just not as simple as putting a hatchet man in midfield imo.

Rovers have not got the balance right, and are left chasing shadows against better teams in L1.

It is not sexy, but being able to limit and channel the opposition is an essential skill.

I agree with most of what you have posted but watching it back I don't think he could have got it out for a corner as there didn't seem to be the speed nor the angle.

BUT when you watch their second goal as well it isn't hard to think he could have just gathered both of them in .

4th goal looks worse every time you see it, the angle from behind is horrendous.

Good finish by Hanlan. He still had a bit to do when he got the ball. Would have been easy to pull back onto his right foot.
