Lincoln are a very very well run club, think their ceo used to work for Rovers. Be nice if he came back to sort us out.

We're pretty well run overall in the last couple of years, that's a ridiculous statement. On and off the pitch the last two years have been a huge step forward. We've made a fair choice not to spend huge sums for the very rare occurrence of cold weather. I'm fine with that. We don't have that many games called off at all and when it's this cold I don't enjoy being out in it all that much either.I popped outside yesterday afternoon and there was ice in the back garden, it seamt quite obvious to me a game today was less than likely.

Even if covered, I guess it's the ground temp that determines the firmness of the pitch. These days, they're not going to risk anything if the surface isn't normal, unlike the old days when they played on 'while over' pitches affected by frost and snow. If there's no prospect of temps increasing during the day, as said earlier in the thread, it makes sense to make an early decision.

When their new stadium is complete, you'll see their attendances at least double.

Seems a bit early to have the inspection to me

Sky have provided and paid for the tent at Lincoln to protect their pitch…
