Wouldn't be end of world for this to be postponed, let's be honest.

Agreed, time to get in more reinforcements and for the rest of the team to rest & practice - not necessarily in that order!!

Disagree, hope it’s on tomorrow. It gets postponed and then we’ve got the 1 win in 17 overhanging until the next league game. Tomorrow is a great opportunity to get a win and get that monkey off our back

Luton’s comments

With equipment in place to protect the pitch from subzero temperatures forecast overnight, Rovers "remain hopeful" the game will take place.

Agree. Luton are in poor form away from home, we are playing better of late......let's not forget Luton arent where they want to be, they also have the transfer window to strengthen and more funds to do so with.

10 o'clock would be a better time for the inspection, still time to let Luton know before travelling.

We want this on. Luton aren’t great at the moment and it feels like a win is around the corner.
Only close injured too so we have a fit squad.
Last thing we want is this on a cold Tuesday night.

8:30am doesn’t give it much time. I guess if it’s cold though there won’t be much difference between 8:30 and 10:30 for example.

That would be more sensible.  but Mansfield v Rotherham  09.00 inspection  :s

I can't remember hardly any games still going ahead after a pitch inspection unless my memory has left me. On that basis im expecting it to be called off

From a purely selfish point of view I hope it's off, snowed in here in Bridlington and don't fancy the journey!
Agree it's a good time to play them though.

Assuming Broadbent isn't fit, we have three available midfielders. That's not really a great place to be.

Would be very surprised if Robinson is in a position to be in the squad and no loanee has yet arrived to replace Crew.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the pitch could handle temps of down to minus five, so it should be o tomorrow?

We've seen this before with the early inspections when it seems they would rather make an early decision, rather than estimate what it's going to be like later on in the day.

Yes, on one hand, it gives plenty of notice to all concerned, especially the travelling fans, so it takes the element of doubt out of the equation.

On the other hand, as others have said, I want to see the lads back on the pitch to follow up on the positive performance v Bolton.

My hunch is they'll call it off so be prepared.

Cliff said in his interview he should be fit. Then later said only Close missing.

We need to remember they have a new manager and he will no doubt be strengthening them also this month, as Ryalinho says above…with greater resources than us.

If it's off, the next league games are Wimbledon away, and Wigan at home.

I really want tomorrow's game to go ahead, but I can't see it happening.

Really hope it's on, if we play as well as (whatever day it was, Thursday!), we've a great chance of 3 points.

From the statement I think it's unlikely though, the bit where it says some of the pitch needs more work doesn't sound too good with another sub zero night ahead.

That large mass of water close by pulls the temperature down by a couple of degrees, my guess is it'll be off.

Had the course been covered over the night before?   ;)

I don't expect any game tomorrow up north to be on that doesn't have undersoil heating especially enclosed grounds such as ours

This might be totally irrelevant, but I've just stuck my head outside the door, and the wind chill doesn't feel as bad as earlier. There's no sign of any ground frost either, or is that because it's still early?

OK, I admit I'm clutching at straws.

Well no frost on the cars or ground in Bentley so there is a chance the game could be on

I think that could be a little optimistic. It has been below freezing all night and isn't forecast to get above 0c until midday. Looks like still quite a tight call to get the game on. Let's see.

Ground doesn’t look frosty but is rock hard

I hope it's off personally it's freezing cold outside and I don't want to sit in it for nearly 2 hours

If its off, those frost protection covers are not fit for purpose, it never got as cold as it was forecast last night
