Just said it would be the biggest upset based on position differences in 19 years
Not that I hold grudges for a long time but still haven’t forgiven Palace for Andy Johnson screwing us over in the League Cup over twenty years ago. Hope Macclesfield hold on.
The Palace line-up was not their PL one. Comparing this to the Colchester United win v Leeds and Hereford’s celebrated victory is not entirely justified. In those days top flight clubs took the FA Cup more seriously.

In those days top flight clubs took the FA Cup more seriously. They rested their keeper but they kicked off the second half with 7 of their 11 first choice. They have a couple of injuries and a player at AFCON so it’s only really Mateta that could have made the squad any stronger. It’s a huge result for a Macclesfield side who had my mate’s daughter’s PE teacher playing at centre half!
