Feels like a loss

Infuriating not to hold onto a two goal lead. Strange substitutions this sort of result could cost us dearly in the long run.

Erm, it was a 3-0 lead. Don’t want to make it worse for you

And we STILL need 3 points for safety. Not as easy as some thought as we still face looking at league two.

Can't believe we only got a point when we could have been 5-0 up. What the hell happened second half? I half expected Wigan to grab a 4th, just to rub it in. Absolutely gutted.

28 shots. Shambolic that we lost 2 points really.

There goalkeeper seems to have made several excellent saves which restricted the score.

As for our defending, maybe we did not concede any goals that Clark could have saved and there was no criticism from the commentators. However one inference is that the goalscorers should not have been allowed their opportunities. It was not clear from the commentary whether we did enough in that respect. Conceding 3 goals must prompt questions.

I thought Clarke should have come off his line for their third . He’s 6’. 20 and could have punched it if he’d come off his line .

I thought he should have done better with the first

Agreed, apart from his kicking he's no Seny, Dieng, Sam Johnstone, Sully, TNT (first time) or Ted last year

He's solid and doesn't do crazy shit. That's probably as much as we can ask for at the moment.

I do not believe some posters on here blaming the keeper, first we blame TLT for most of the goals conceded and now blaming Clark.
There is only one person to blame and that his Grant McCann for his totally ridiculous substitutions.
Why does he consider Gibson his going to be a driving force in midfield? The guy strolls around the pitch and I don’t think he knows how to tackle! So don’t want to blame him for this, but the man who made the decision to put him in that position.

Ourselves to blame again for poor finishing! I know we scored 3 but Broadbent and Clifton both had glorious, gilt edged chances to put the result beyond doubt!
So frustrating.

We scored 3 from 2.68 xG. The finishing was ok.

We have poor defenders, simple as that.

Realistically even if the new centre back is very strong, we are not as a defensive unit going to be very strong. We are not going to be able to change that until the summer. Likewise we have a set of midfielders who largely are entirely unsuited to possession-based football. Close excepted. Given these realities we are going to stay up by scoring more than other sides. I get that today was a defensive shit show but that is what it is. We don't have the means to change that.

Clifton scored the harder one. Although he made his clean through chance harder than it needed to be

That is just nonsense.  Clifton made a great first touch to control the ball and unless you expect him to have the touch and the shot in one instant he had no time to get the shot away.  Just an outstanding tackle denied him.

Being super critical I think his first touch should have taken him a bit more towards goal. Did he even heed a touch?
