Don't think we can call him the Geordie Rodri anymore, more like MichaelOwen Bailey

Jay looks like a different player with Byrne alongside him. Don't think he's missed a single header and has bullied his man in every challenge so far

We're not looking good, especially our distribution, but they seem very ineffective.

It’s ugly but necessary, keep them out and hit them on the counter

Almost 70% possession to Burton. Apart from our 2 goals and hitting the bar, we’ve not done much!!

We often have less possession than our opponents when we play away though.

Strange half. No control in midfield whatsoever. Under pressure most of the half. But our front 3/4 look threatening with the scraps they’ve had

Doesn’t matter how we win.  Yes, this game isn’t over yet by any means, but winning ugly when you start in the bottom 4 is very welcome..

Les see what the second half brings.

Feels like a smash and grab right now, which i will take no doubt about it.
Conditions are awful

It’s not the conditions to play tippy tippy football though!

Agree with some a strange game where it just seems defence vs attack either way.
We could’ve and maybe should have done better in that half with the other chances/half chances.

Senior doesn’t look match fit to me, not at his usual levels at least, been done as much as Maxwell was on Saturday.

They have had more corners than a team gets in two games, we’ve been under the cosh for long parts of that, but seen it through.

I can’t see them not scoring if it carries on, so we will need more.

lincoln  lost 2-1 away unlucky
Bolton  lost 2-1  93rd minute  minute goal
Cardiff  home 2-2

and don't forget somehow they beat Huddersfield 3-1

Port vale is still 0-0   83rd minute

We need to be a bit calmer on the ball, just like on Saturday really. But agree with others above - don’t really care tonight, leaving with the points is ALL that matter's.

His biggest fault, doesn’t ‘take care’ of the ball & gives away possession cheaply with poor passes.

Granted he offers ‘something different’ going forward but….

I think we look really comfortable and the attack is linking up brilliantly, they look like they still have a few levels to go up too.

Conditions are w**k so we’ve just gotta be a bit careful sliding in with Gotts and in particular Senior being on yellows. Nothing too daft just go see the game out in 2nd half.

Swap Gotts and Senior out. Can’t afford a second yellow which would be easy in these conditions
