Museum - join the project group
« on February 05, 2026, 12:30:44 pm by Silkscarf »
We’ve started an email group to support the next stage of the project. We need more help from a range of people with different skills and ideas.

We’ve got about 30 people so far (several recruited from this forum of course). We want more Rovers history experts, collectors, writers, museums and archives people, researchers, anyone who is interested in helping. It’s entirely online so it doesn’t matter where you are. You can chip in when you like or just follow progress if you prefer.

We’ll still be reporting progress on the VSC forum occasionally. But we wanted to bring in people who aren’t on here, may not be Rovers fans or may not even be interested in football usually. Anyone who can help us reach the goal of building a museum.

We haven’t kicked off discussions yet. So if you fancy joining sign up here:

https://inroverswetrust.org/contact-us

Or you can message me or Colin on here.

Thanks
Rich

It’s Valentine’s Day so don’t forget your one true love, the love of your life: Doncaster Rovers FC.

You can donate to the memorial in Hyde Park Cemetery here:
https://inroverswetrust.org/memorial-project

Albert Jenkins and most of the 1879 players are in there, close to the stadium, often in unmarked, forgotten graves. They were Rovers till* they died and they always will be (*or ‘until’ if you prefer).

We want to remember all the DRFC players in there by building a single central Rovers memorial and setting out a heritage trail online so you can find Albert, his teammates and the others. We’re finding out more about Rovers history in the process.

You can get involved with this and other activities by joining the museum project. Just send us a name and email address here:

I've chucked a few quid into the memorial fund.
