Salech missing is a bonus. One of the best strikers outside the Premier League.

If we are to be a sell out, Grant must set the terms of what is not acceptable, like that first half against Rotherham. If we do that again against these it will be a cricket score by half time.

I always used to be a bit gutted previously when we got big crowds at home, as you could almost place a bet that we would underperform. Not so much since we moved to the Keepmoat and Eco Power, but to raise the profile again, we have to turn up and put a performance on.

If we play as good as we did at their place, but score the chances this time, we will win. We frightened the hell out of them in that game. Come on you Reds, typical I’m away

Against Rotherham we got the tactics wrong first half. We misread the way the game would play out and "Plan A" was incorrect. Forget the personnel changes, the change in approach second half changed the game. We were extremely direct second half where as first half it was short goal kicks and attempting to interchange passes through the thirds. I've watched the game three times and the first half was calamitous from all angles. Waiting till half time to make tactical (and personnel) changes was a gamble that we got away with. Credit to the management team for rectifying the mistakes at half time and also to the lads that came on who did make a huge impact.

Against Cardiff its pretty difficult to get the approach wrong because its so obvious how Cardiff will try and play. The clarity that should create is certainly an advantage during the preparation.

I reckon there will be 12500 there. Think that's a decent effort.

Always the negative. It’s really not, baring a handful of tickets we’ve sold out the available home areas of the stadium. It’s only a couple of blocks that will probably go on sale to walk ups and further online sales tomorrow left. How’s that disappointing for a team sat in 18th that’s likely to lose tomorrow?

A quarter of the east and west is sat unopened. £12 for an adult to watch league 1 football in 2026 is a bargain. It's not negative it's a kick in the teeth to the owners great gesture it's not full.

I forgot the game kicks off at 8pm tonight - there’s nearly another full day of sales left! It won’t be far off full. Cardiff have sold out give or take, so there’s going to be at least one block either side of the east and west left empty anyway!

If we had scored 3 away goals against most teams in this league, only to be beaten by a goal in injury time, we would surely fancy our chances at home, yet opinion here is largely influenced by Cardiff’s record in general.

Looking at this, it is interesting that they scraped by Orient at home by the same 4-3 score earlier in the season and they lost 3-1 at Blackpool too. They also fell 1-0 to Burton at home. So why, we might wonder, do they falter against less fancied opposition?

I’m not saying that I can’t understand why some feel that a point will be a good outcome, but at the same time there seems to be a possible weakness in the team spirit that surfaces when there is an expectation that they will be comfortably better than the opposition. We cannot ignore the fact that they may not have been thrashed at Plymouth, but they conceded 5 which is a big number for a team which is top of their league.

If we can put together a really proficient performance with (for once) the majority of players playing at the top of their form, we are potentially stronger than we were in the 4-3 defeat, so surely we could even have a chance to win.

Give over. Its still a bloody good anount of tickets sold.

Great gesture by the owner? We are only doing the £12 deal due to Cardiff doing it first for us.

Anything less than us being at the top of our game and it could be a long afternoon and we will have to cut out the silly defensive mistakes.
If we are and do, we can compete with anyone in this division including the top sides.
If we are sloppy as against teams like Plymouth at home we  can get over run.
Its basically up to us to have the confidence to take them on.

No more sections need opening, plenty left in the west and east. Imagine floaters will likely not bother when it rains

Barnby, he would help but you might not know he can't play here this season, no biggy to him our loss and the fascination with Doncaster Rovers when he was young has worn thin.
Its not only Bobby, I can think of a few others playing below our current standard would be defensive improvements, and possible financial benefits to a club on the ball, players you will not have set eyes on yet but are likely to do in the future on tv and wonder how other sides do it more regular than we have historically.
Hopefully the shake up in recruitment will be better in the future.  They could do worse than ask Gaz to help, he is switched on.

we will have 25% possession we want only 30% max.

Their uninjured forwards are very fast & dangerous - especially Willock - who is too good for this division --  not so their defence ...  as in ....  both us and Orient losing 4-3 at their place. I told you that ages ago Plymouth actually scored 6 not 5
their centre half scored a good goal from a corner.

their No.4 is cynical his name starts with an "O" - after Plymouth's Pepper had scored 2 goals inside half an hour  - when the ball was miles away you could see in the top left corner of the tv how just outside the Cardiff penalty area (of course) _he blatantly barged into Pepper -laying him out  -

Our own Charlie Williams used to say "he knew how to stop the buggers" - Charlie who we know scored his only goal for us against Barnsley would have been proud of the way their No.4 laid him out. HE IS THEIR WEAKEST LINK. I kept my eye on him all the match from then

Hope Hanlon eats him

Next week by the way they play Lincoln.

I see  the green monster is in residence
