I've not been to Barnsley for ages, which pubs are we allowed in? My mate says there's one not from the ground but not sure it's still open.

Possibly not, but perhaps they’ve just made the whole stand available from the off.?

Given how quickly we sold out for rotherham, and the cheaper price. I think we will be pushing 4000 for this fixture.

Should be a decent away following, but I think 5k will be pushing it.

What to people think of the pricing?  Going rate now seem to be high twenties.....or the £30 I paid for Rotherham.

I'm sure I read somewhere about reciprocating ticket prices between us and Barnsley. Well that hasn't happened. There will probably be 3000 for this. As close to Rotherham and actually a much better town and day out than Rotherham

Also good place to Park . Is that what you did ?

I paid low low amount o park there but went over road to Old Mill Brewery pub Dove Inn for some real ale and no trouble getting served

Downhill all way to Ground but a bit of a slog coming back up as its much steeper than you remember it going down especially with 3 big points in yer back pocket

This is exactly why we need to sell the South stand out to ST holders so we can maximise revenue from away fans next season. We are the cheapest in the league bar Burton and our ground and facilities are much better than most.

Pretty much every time i've been to Barnsley (except the last time), been denied a drink in the centre as Police have pretty much sent us in direction of the ground or towards the metrodome. Very different whenever they seem to come to Doncaster.

Ended up drinking in Elsecar before the game last time, pubs not in abundance but decent enough.

Would be nice if we could take 4-5k, but can't see it happening.

Know a Barnsley fan who just waves his ST everywhere and off we go. Okay town too. Miles better than Rotherham although not difficult

Don't forget the front 20 rows aren't being sold so actually we've sold 4 half blocks only.

Said the same to someone earlier. Will be about 2000-2500 there I think.

Hope they continue on their wobble, so we can come away with 3 points.

Very good chance to beat them Saturday. About 600 a block my calculations. So yes 2.5k sold up to now, let's get this over 3000.

Why is that ,what is the reason for not selling the front rows

They'll be available should we sell the upper blocks.

Good place to.park Car , East Dene but go to Old Mill pub (Dove Inn)  over road

Only downside the hill down to.Ground is a lot steeper on way back than you noticed on way down

Oakwell | Barnsley FC | Football Ground Guide https://share.google/XxBtTHxcbEeQ2bvPB

Looks like we've identified 2 or 3 of those listed on here .

Pre internet days I had a book that was an away day guide for football supporters that provided useful information on all 92 clubs in the old football league, stuff like parking, maps, away fan turnstiles etc.. The usual gear. One piece of invaluable information included was listing pubs where you were safe from getting a kicking. They even managed to find away fan safe pubs in Leeds, Chelsea, Stoke, Middlesbrough.

Except Barnsley where it said "Just don't bother".

Is there still parking on that grassy hill going down to the stadium next to the metrodome? Sure thats where the supporters coaches go?
