It's a point that I never expected, so we'll done. Still the month of March will be the hardest month of the season,

And there are plenty in the team who haven't scored even twice.  His importance to the team despite his meagre goal return is massive.

It's not a race to the bottom. You can't have someone playing where he does who offers almost zero goal threat. Yes there are other positive aspects to his game, but you'd like to hope we could identify someone who was a more complete midfielder.

Is Clifton’s work rate and off the ball ability really that unique?

You would like to think there’s another player who would join us who can offer that with some added goal threat and creativity.

Nothing against the lad, he’s a decent and useful player but we’re not in L2 anymore and need more than that.

I just wondered Hound as Luton kicked off the game I thought if they won the toss and turned us around we would have had the kick off ?

Interesting thought.

Just to counter the Clifton comments. Is the same not true of Moly?
They both give 100% but have little output this season!  Effort is not an issue on the whole, they all work hard, although some don’t often look like they are, but effective output is a big issue we are where we are.

Is this the same Moly who is in the top 15 in the league for goals + assists?

No the same is not true.

Molyneux has got 8 goals and 11 assists this season.
Clifton has got 2 goals.

Obviously they don't play the same position and expectations on what their output should be are different, but to suggest they're even remotely similar is a considerable stretch.

Molyneux’s goal output has dropped this year when you take penalties out of the equation (he has only become the main penalty taker this season).

Harry Clifton

- Non Penalty Goals     2
- Minutes      1706

Luke Molyneux

- Non Penalty Goals   4
- Minutes      2871

I fully believe Molly was given the penalty duty just to give him confidence to find form. He was nervous as hell talking the first couple.

I am certain it’s a mental thing with him, he isn’t shooting freely like in league 2, he is getting the same service and time on the ball. I hope once he gets over this, he is back to his normal self.

Any ignore all of Moly’s assists?
