How strong was the shout for a handball early on?
Glenn middleton seemed to think the dedender raised his arm to the ball.
Not seen any decent replay of it

I think it was the kind of decision VAR would give a penalty for, but which refs at our level rarely give (although Plymouth got one against us)

Definite penalty.

What's that now, that we've had turned down this year? 6? 7? And nearly every one has cost us points. We could, and arguably should be a comfortable midtable side.

I assume you're also keeping track of all the penalties opposition teams should have had against us but that weren't given?
I've seen maybe 2 that looked as though we got off lightly. I've seen nothing turned down for the opposition remotely as clear as 4-5 that we have been denied. There was another one last night. First half. Maybe 35 mins. Their keeper had the ball at his feet on the right hand side of the area. Lee, I think was running to close him down across the face of the box. 20 yards away from the keeper, the centre half twice looked over his shoulder to check where Lee was and then stepped across him and flattened him.

I know all the arguments about it being too far away, and "penalties aren't given for that" but it's b*llocks. That was as clear a premeditated foul in the box as you will ever see. It was a cast iron penalty.

None of this includes the shenanigans at corners by the way.

no a chance that was a pen, same a what most of south stand shouting for a corner early doors when their lad chested it down before Hanlon touched it before it went out.
Also same moaning when it’s hit their lad flush in the face but moaned at red for stopping it

No ones mentioned the blatant shove on Lee off the ball in the first half, the lino was looking right at it and ignored it

Which two have you got in mind? I thought Rotherham could have had another two on top of the one they got the other week.

I will say though that the worst decision I've seen in years was the Sharp one that wasn't given against Barnsley.

One of the ones was against Rotherham. I don't recall off the top of my head who the other one was against.

Sharp's against Barnsley doesn't come into the top three worst decisions for me, because at least you could argue there was doubt in real time whether their lad had got a touch on the ball. The three worst ones by miles were the Northampton defender who launched himself into Molyneux, making him rush off a shot before he was wiped out,  the one at Stevenage where Hanlan was shouldered in the chest and thrown almost into the stand and that one on Lee last night.

I didn’t think there was anything in the “one on Lee last night”.
I didn’t even get up from my seat and appeal for it.

I've just watched the replay. That one on Lee is a stonewall penalty and was much closer to the keeper than I recalled. That's why the defender took him out - Lee caught him napping and was closing the keeper down. The defender suddenly realised, changed tack by 45 degrees and deliberately ran into Lee. Shocking by the officials.

Just watched on the extended highlights, I had left by then to get the car back to the stadium to pick somebody up. Their defender has a tight hold of Harry's arm, and a bit of his shirt as well. Definite penalty, but never with that ref, a complete idiot.
Yes, we all see the pulling & tugging that goes on, but he had Clifton's arm preventing him getting control of the ball, which for me is a penalty in today's interpretation. Anywhere else on the pitch, it's a foul.
