Good news, was wondering when we were going to get the LED signs around the pitch.

Let them complain, the revenue from the increased commercial opportunities is needed. Like it or not this is football now.

Also, when you look around the ground, there’s no more room to put add advertising boards up.
It’s a bold move, which we should applaud in my opinion.

Same ones who wouldn't sit in the East stand for a Semi final game no doubt

It would be good if the LED boards were set at a comfortable but effective lighting output. Maybe the last ones we had were of a very high wattage output, they certainly were very bright. LED lamps have come on leaps and bounds in wattage output, I remember the early portable stage lights that were demo'd to us by the reps at Electromusic on Copley Rd being very low wattage, with each led bulb being half a watt each with 4 in each unit. They were ok, but no more than that. Now we have multiple high output lamps  in each of these perimeter boards which really do kick some light out. I'll have to Google it to find out the output of these advertising boards as it has spiked my curiosity now the subject has come up. Good move by the club if they get it right.

Through the shadow board, the club has listened to all ideas, concerns & observations. From there they’ve reached out to other clubs using LED boards.
They’ve  has been very sympathetic to all questions raised & offered solutions.

There was a cup game a few years back at the KMS where the LED boards were on display. I remember thinking their left Winger's like a bloody greyhound, before realising it was a bloody greyhound.

Didn’t we lose 1-0 that night to a glancing tail from trap 5?

Yeah, BB, but when it came to putting a cross in, that left winger could whippet in quickly.

Can we get a helicopter to drop advert leaflets or get the fans to sing in unison "we love b and q" after all it will make the club money.

Surely these boards have a brightness control like TV's and Monitors .

If it brings in funds that allows us to pay fees for players which might actually mean we can bring in better quality players there isn’t a reason to moan but it’s Doncaster which appears to have a default setting for moaning

Can we just have a board that tells you how long has been played, including the extra time? I don't care particularly about  replays, but can't access information 90% of the time because of adverts.

I have no idea what you’re on about. We’re literally replacing the advertising boards with something that looks better and raises more money for the club.

No but it will help pay for summer pitch repairs and such.

I thought someone said it was going to let us buy better players...?

In reality, it does neither. When a majority do the same, ones relative position remains unchanged. Indeed, for clubs with bigger crowds all this does for Rovers is reduce the scale of the growing revenue gap. I assume, of course, that higher crowds leads to higher advertising rates.

where’s the money going ? How much was spent on the PA System £600k and the same again on the Cantley training ground Gym  last season ? Looks like we are prioritising on THINGS all be it important but don’t achieve results on the pitch and fiasco we’ve seen on loans and the lack of a quality striker issues  and becoming reliant on Baileys goals to keep us up . I know we need a modern look for the future but Grant McCann could well have lost lost job by the lack of positive investment in players of L1 standard . We bought Billy Sharp for over a £1m years ago and he keeps repaying the clubs investment with his return to the club . Invested in players pays in results or on the balance sheet when you sell them . But either way you can’t expect L1 playoffs with the  L2 standard performances and players we seen for most of the season . 26/27 needs to see McCann given the tools to do the job for the long term and build for challenge not a salvage mission .
