Big soundout to you guys for yesterday. You got the South Stand really rocking in that second half. The noise was deafening, and the Blackpool fans couldn't compete.

Keep it up, guys, let's get the lads over the line.

I'll give credit where its due as i was very critical of them earlier in the season slating TLT , they have been pretty good the last few homes games.

I was very impressed in the Luton game, and the same yesterday, lots of vocal support, it is what the lads need.

Black Bank were excellent yesterday, but the rotting corpse of Marcel Marceau would've been louder than the Blackpool support. On "mute".

They gave every impression of being resigned to the drop.

2nd half was okay again. Fickle bunch though, very good at letting the opposition know how crap we are as soon as we're losing.

The volume level was really raised yesterday.
Almost everyone was joining in with the chanting and clapping.

Plenty of clappers in every stand. Don’t see that very often!

This is very good to hear ( no pun)
As watching on Rovers+ there seemed no atmosphere whatsoever. Perhaps the mics were not working as it sounded like one man and his dog was there, if that.
Strange

The Grant McCanns red and white army chant went on for about twenty minutes non stop.

It was strange we had just commented on how flat the atmosphere felt from the West Stand and moments later the place was bouncing - well done everyone

And in both games the performance lifted with it we need to keep that up.

Like I said against Luton, I am certain it helped lift the lads. It coincided with us ramping the pressure up on them. Again the same with Blackpool.

You will notice the longer that chant goes the more people who don’t sing or clap get involved too. Eric’s Family stand were up for on both occasions, and it is normally just the part close to the South stand, but it went the whole length. I could see some in the West clapping too.

It makes a difference! Keep it positive, back the lads and we can be a force at home.

Best atmosphere at home for a while I’ve been involved in, let’s keep it up for the last home games of the season!
Love to see all the stands joining in, if it gives us fans a buzz it must do the same for the players too.

There’s nothing lifts you more than 8k+ people driving you on.

Unless of course a bull in Pamplona actually catches up with you. Now that is a lift.

I've noticed the same with games on Sky+. I honestly believe they purposely deaden the noise of the crowd, so we can clearly hear the crap Sky commentators.

I think the Sky commentators aren't even at the game. From the commentary sometimes it's obvious they can only see what we can see.

Isn't it usually radio Sheffield commentators? If the speakers picking up the sound are only on halfway it won't pick much up. Generally you can't hear the south stand unless loads join in like the second half on Saturday

The Black Bank were excellent on Saturday - I mentioned as much to my brother during the second half.

As said above, when they keep a chant going like “Grant McCann’s red and white army” it really does become infectious and more and more fans join in with the clapping.
This really must lift the players.

Well done to all, keep it going lads.

I sit in the West stand and the Black Bank has been superb recently. What would it sound like if the club would actually allow more fans to sit there? The South stand has been sold out for most home games, and yet the amount of empty seats left because it’s unreserved seating is ridiculous and over cautious. Return to reserved seating ( fans will still sit together like away games) and let’s get the South Stand full and really bouncing

Yep, i'm sure there must be another solution.

It has been unreserved for some time now, with a cut in capacity, however go and look at the highlights from the Crewe Play Off game. No way was 10% left unsold for this game.

I think it's Rovers+ that has the Radio Sheffield guys. Sky+ has it's own commentators, and they're crap.

Terrible solution. Would make atmospheres worse.

Half the people in there are there because it's cheaper remember and not atmosphere or being part of it. Reserved seating would see half those wanting to stand not being able to any more

I think we ought to put a sticky on this as its a FAQ, one which gets answered every few months.

1) Its not the club that puts a restriction on numbers, that comes from the local, council run, SAG (Safety Advisory Group)
2) Although the title says Advisory its more compulsory as they are the group that issues the safety certificate
3) They take their lead from the Sports Ground Safety Authority who oversee the issuing of licences by local councils
4) The bible is called the Green Guide which lays out all the regulations that stadiums must adhere to
5) If you want the SAG to ignore the standing that takes place amongst seated areas and allow free movement then you must accept the restrictions they put on numbers
6) At the end of the day, if it goes wrong it will be the local SAG and our Safety Officer who will take the legal hit.
