Sent off after 83mins in N. Ireland's U21's 3-1 win over Latvia. Bayley McCann didnt get on.

McCann said it wouldn’t be long before he’s got himself in the first team and keeps his shirt.
Not seen much yet.

Could see him out on loan next season.

Its a fans forum where we can all freely express our opinions on the team, players, management and even fans.

So here's my opinion on your comment - disgraceful beyond belief, he's a young lad whose hardly had a chance yet and when he has appeared shows he grafts his balls off, puts a tackle in and has lots of promise. I just hope either he doesn't read this site or if he does has the sense to realise you are plain and simple bang out of order.

He’s been good in the brief appearances he’s had but also has been unlucky that gotts hit form just after he signed so chances have been limited

Really old man not rating a young player because he didn’t come through our youth academy where he could befriend his family and make him feel important.

You are so predictable.

I agree with Grayx he looks to have potential. Very limited minutes seen of him admittedly and he’ll need a loan move somewhere as I don’t think he’ll get the required minutes here yet.

Grehan another who needs a loan out. I’m not having that he’s crap, he’s a centre back not a right back. Still have high hopes for him too.

I have seen him over a four or five year period at various stages of his academy career and forgot about him.

Makes you wonder why qualified youth coaches (including on an international level) do then. I think I agree now, I would release him in the summer because he was garbage as a 12 year old in the eyes of what would have been at the time a random man in his 60’s.

Signing Lee was never certain either. If that didn't happen he may have been nearer the squad.

I watched pretty much ever minute of him playing i could find when he signed and was a bit underwhelmed. What I've seen of him for us has certainly impressed me more. Looks potentially more versatile than what he showed in his clips.

Apart from Broadbent who has gone backwards again, McCann has done alright with the CM’s eventually hasn’t he.

Contract renewals for Close and Westbrooke perhaps not the optimum decisions.

Close at least has done ok when called upon I think. Probably curtains for him at the end of the season though.

Opportunity cost. While both are clearly talented players, they are senior players on good money who the manager hasn't used and have no resale potential. Would have been better investing those no doubt decent wages on players he was actually going to play and who we could develop and ideally monetise.

We’ve a fair bit of shifting to do this summer I think, with some really good loan moves to hand to some and a couple under contract that ideally need to be shifted on. Not forgetting those out of contract.

Can clear the decks again and have a more targeted approach to incomings. We don’t need a lot, we need quality. I think we will have a good budget but I also think our recruitment will land on whether the loan additions are very good or bad more than anything.

If he learns to stick his head on the ball instead of turning it and watching it go past his nose end into the net we might get some of the money back  a visit to a cup final at Wembley would have generated then if he is that good.
