That effectively means that 3 of the 4 relegation spots are now confirmed. Rotherham have games in hand but also face an 11 point deficit to safety. That means everything is now down to Exeter City escaping relegation. Looking at the final games for Exeter City, unfortunately for them they are all against sides with something very much to play for - next up is Plymouth (local derby), then Stockport County (need to confirm play off place), then Burton (staving off relegation) and finally Bradford City (by then potentially with automatic a possibility).I am not hugely hopeful we can pick up many more points on recent dire form but Exeter have to go some way to get much from that group of games. Let's see.
Only one relegation place left, which Exeter currently occupy, and we still have 4 points clearance with them only having 4 games to play, most of which are against top 8 teams. I think we are safe enough.
Exiter beat Plymouth 1-0 away (when anyone could beat them and we were all waiting for the Plymouth revival in the Jan transfer window) so Plym will want revenge on the Exiters and the pleasure of revenge and putting a nail in their coffin. We would never have lost on Saturday but for the injuries that thug of a centre forward would have been sent off in my world for pushing Pearson into Lo Tala -doing that should be an instant red card - it's called dangerous play -
